Quote - What the heck happen to that site. It has been saying "temporarily" for a long time now.
I knew they were moving, but I've been wondering what's taking 'em so long.
Quote - Is it not affiliated with renderosity? i/e bondware...
No, Renderosity & RDNA are separate companies. Bondware is also a separate company that provides services to webmasters like site design, email marketing, etc.

Marcus, I forgot to check the 'notify' button; so I didn't realize you responded already. ;)
Quote - ...Thanks for your kind words. Usually it's not that bad, but with poser restoring files is a task to be sure! lol
I hear you on that one! For some time, I've been regularly backing up the files that store my Poser preferences, the library's external runtimes, personalized user interface... Before I knew I could do that, I dreaded having to put them all back. :p
Quote - Thing that bugs me is I lost several recent images that I hadn't had a chance to burn, with the hard disk crash they're gone now..
Awww! I'm so sorry about that! I know how that feels!
Quote - Actually, building a system from scratch is not as difficult as it may seem.. once you've done it a few times it's really pretty simple..
Well, that's great news for me, then! I would need someone to advise me in person the 1st time, I'm sure! (I'd take notes -- and pictures for the next time!) :P
Quote - Thank you for sending yer good vibes my way, you are so kind and with the expense of buying the new hardware I can use a few good vibes right now.. ;-)
You're a sweetie, Marcus! ;)
And you may not believe this, but guess what happened?
A couple days ago, my external hard drive became randomly inaccessible (sometimes I could open it, other times I couldn't). Well, yesterday it looked like I might lose all my content on it; it showed the same signs of dying that previous external drives did before they bit the Big One.
Yesterday was Easter, almost every store was closed. My boyfriend & I ran around and finally found an open store.... Got another drive, and I'm actually able to copy files from my old drive to this new one.
I've been thanking God ever since!
Seems like I reaped some of those good vibes I sent you!

Marcus, really sorry to hear that! It can be tedious at best only having to restore files; but rebuilding a computer is beyond me! I admire the fact that you can rebuild yours!
I'm sending my good vibes to ya' during your restoration process... Hope you get things situated soon (and with as little hassle as possible). : )

Thread: WTF is this? | Forum: Community Center
Quote - ...Check out 419 eaters Good site!
LOL! 419 was the site somebody emailed me about when the scams first became widely known! At the time, I had just received a couple of those scam emails; so thank the Good Lord for paranoid people who cram their friends' inboxes every time they hear about something like this!
I laughed when I read the line at 419 that says, "Do not be fooled into thinking scammers operate from a specific part of the world." I kept getting emails 'from Nigeria' that contained European country codes. lolol
Thread: WTF is this? | Forum: Community Center
Quote - When I get one of those scam letters I play stupid.
I'll ask if Nigeria is near Russia or some other country....
Quote - Well, I hope you use a different email address to respond to them... LOL
Quote - I did, lol
LOL! I admit, after finding the spamscamscam site all about how the guy played around with such scammers, I was tempted to do the same. :p
But using a different email addy doesn't always hide or protect the sender. I was surprised to learn that even if one uses certain freebie email hosts, recipients can still see the sender's originating IP in the email's source.
If you must join the game, do it at your local library! :P teeeheee!

TrekkieGrrrl, thanks for your response. : ) Y'know, your intuition is spot on! I thought this was a newer product, but it turns out it was something from 2005! I didn't know about any possible formatting conflicts due to server changes. : )
Well, now, my thread just wasted everybody's clicks! Sorry folks! (And thanks again, Trekkie! I never was good at reading something without intermittent paragraphs).

Quote - ...As for further posts...guys, seriously, no more "get over it" posts. They're kinda rude, ya know? People are allowed to vent, yeah? You don't have to respond to posts like this.
Jen, I knew there was a reason I liked you!
You beautifully posted my thoughts.
*edit: Ignore the smiley that looks like he's in terrible need of a shave!
He was meant for light backgrounds, methinks! LOL

Thanks to you, Robo2010, I have found his amazing free downloads! Bazze is amazing!
I can imagine how you feel, but don't be angry. : ) Your purchase was well-spent (look at it this way: you could have paid for crap instead of quality). ;)
And your post has alerted those like me who were unaware of such a wonderful, free item.
Guess what? Giving is cyclical; check your email! (Not your IM, your email!)

Thread: Hair Makers - Do you keep repackinging/renaming the same mesh? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - ..."Hey, here's my new hair...I've taken my last model and de-centered the part and lengthened the back 2 clicks and given it a new name!" ...
Don't know which models you specifically mean, but I've seen many variations of your scenario. Not only with hair. My goodness, if I see another structure using the same textures as those in packages the merchant created back in '04, I'm gonna lose it.
Regarding hair: sometimes, creative transmapping produces just as desirable results as the 'new', altered packages. If the mesh is truly unique enough to merit purchasing, I purchase. If not, there's always transmap editing. ;)

Quote - ABC is also one of the worst networks ever. try this test: go to a legit news station, e.g. BBC
or CNN, and set volume at comfortable level. then switch channel to ABC and notice how the
volume has doubled. this is because ABC is pitching to the bottom of the demographic.
Miss Nancy, I'm curious. What would volume level have to do with ABC 'pitching to the bottom of the demographic'?
I don't know anything about volume level being an indication of which group(s) a network is gearing its station towards; but you reminded me of a personal preference: I view movie-only, commercial-free cable stations because I canNOT tolerate the screaming volume of some of the commercials one sees on 'free' t.v. channels :p
Thread: Lost, now found-- SeaVue Tutes | Forum: Vue
Quote - Thanks for the tutorial
But how can i save it for using later with seavue??
I click on save tutorial and nothing happens
If you click chipp's blog link, and then click the "VueLab" link directly under the SeaVue Video Tutorial image, you should see a page that lists his SeaVue tutorial. Clicking the SeaVue tut image will take you to a screecast.com page, and you will see a "Download" link.
Please post again if you are you unable to access that link, because Chipp will be able to help you better than I. ;)
*edit: * DOH! He beat me to it! lol

That is ** Sapphire Fox Hair** at Daz, or I'll eat my hat. :p
In Love Again for Sapphire Fox Hair here at rendo is a great add-on.

Quote - Angelsinger - Have you ever had a look at "Pose Magic"?
yes, shameless schilling on my behalf, but I made Pose Magic to tackle just that problem...
No, I never did. But you just got yourself a customer!
Oh, and screw the phrase 'shameless plugging'! It's great when vendors point people to products that save them from endless searching & hours of frustration. It also reinforces a sense of community. Thankees!
Quote - Angelsinger, have you tried right-clicking over the bodypart to select? A menu comes up with various parts listed, just select the one you want...
Well, now. That is brilliant, innit! And it is a testament to how very slow I must be...
I have been using Poser for years, and NEVER knew about this feature!
It is just like the feature in Photoshop that allows one to select & choose a specifc layer when right-clicking the image directly. Can't thank you enough, raven!

Quote - ...When I went to school it was always feet and inches.
We also worked in pints and gallons, not litres.
I even look at the Farenheit side of my thermometer, not Centigrade...
Since I'm in the U.S., I automatically comprehend measurements in feet, inches, etc. It is so ingrained in me that I perceive those measurements based on visual associations.
If you say "6 ft.", for instance, I immediately think of the height of my father.
It's only when something is told to me in meters or litres that I have to do mental calcuations. :P
