Thread: a filter/plugin... ? help? | Forum: Photoshop
Universe does the star and nebula effects... there is a stand alone and a plugin for PS (the standalone app spits out .bmp files of spacecapes) - I don't know of one that also does fire... I use Eye Candy for fire... there is also a pretty good fire plug by Pan- ummm Pancoptium (or something like that!)

Thread: Will Renderosity ever accept PayPal ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
zoozI2000, PayPal is an online payment service. It's favored by users of online auctions like Ebay because it is a simple and secure way to pay for things online. It's actually pretty convienent and you can use it without a credit card. Some merchants don't like to use it because they do keep a percentage of each transaction that they process... my suspicion is that's why 'rosity doesn't use them...few sites do, actually, outside of Ebay sellers. I think that it may work here if 'rosity left it up to the merchant whether to accept those payments. The added percentage could come from the merchant's portion of the payment (as a merchant myself, I have no problem with this) and not cost 'rosity a cent. Just an idea.
Thread: I'd really like some comments on this image.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's a nice image. I'm pretty sure that I saw it too, and liked it. We all like to get comments (good and bad) on our images, thing is that the galleries are so darned full that it's nearly impossible to comment on everything you see, everything you like, or even everything you dislike. Compare the number of viewings to the number of comments, even on the elite "Hot 20" pics and you'll see that many many more people look than comment. The best way to get comments on your pics is to leave them on others' pics. This way when I am cruising along and a pic catches my eye but I may not usually comment, if I recognize the name as someone that has done me the service of commenting, I am more likely to comment myself. Of course I don't exclusively comment only to those that have commented to me, but a lot of the time that's how it works out.

Try going into the options and choosing the "restore factory defaults" under the startup options. I'm not in front of my Poser now, so I am not positive which menu, etc but it shoud be easy enough to find. I don't know what messed it up for you, but that should fix it.
Thread: anatomical poser model | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've never heard of such a Poser model... but I think Zygote has a series of .3DS or .OBJ models of things like internal organs, skeletal system, and such... maybe give them a try?

Thread: Textures for Daz Creature Creation Pack | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I actually have wondered whether there was a market for something like that... I have the set too and thought about doing some textures, but I almost never see anyone using the stuff from the set. Maybe I should consider doing some and seeing what the response is.
Thread: HAIR PROBLEMS! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have the OohBetty spikey hair and have had no problems. Dirk is right, the Poser updater from Curious will stop the error message. When using the hair, simply select the figure's head and then apply the hair object. It should pretty much go right in place on the head. Then use the dials to move it slightly if need be and be sure to parent it to the head with the object>change parent menu option.
Thread: P4 Kids | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I can't recall having seen any. Seems those kids get left out. I'd say try the usual places...here, poserworld, anywhere that has Poser stuff...but there may not be much for them out there.
Thread: Victoria, Micheal, Daz | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's my understanding that Zygote did all their modeling in Maya. If taht's the case, it stands to reason that DAZ followed suit and uses MAya as well.... I suppose they would be the best ones to ask though... if they're talkin'
Thread: P4 Fem/Male remapped for Vic/Mike textures ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The V2P4 figure (free from DAZ) is shaped like Posette but mapped for Vicki textures.... I imagine that Mike 2 will probably have something similar. Not to say that there's anything wrong with the ones April did, from what I understand, they're great!
Thread: Trojan in DAZ3D's free models? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Weird... I use Winzip too.. but all the freebies I ever got from DAZ came with the installer icon and are .exe files, not zip files. Have had no problem with the violin that I know of.
Thread: Self Image With Poser 4 and Photoshop 6...Is it possible? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The cake one tutorial above is fantastic... but the process is not as easy as she makes it seem (although she does it beautifully!) - I reccomend you watch the lips very carefully, they can be tough to line up. UV mapper is a good idea - make sure you convert the map to RGB mode in Photoshop if you use it. The DAZ Millennium figure maps are great too ... and remember that Vicki, Vicki2, and the Millennium Girls & Boys can all take the same maps. Good luck!
