beautiful work! comming along nicely. as far as crits. rthe neck is pretty thick there. maybe the head is a little wide? look at the cheeck/side of head compared to the ear. the ar looks a bit burried as if there is alot of fat on the side of the face. I don't know. looks a bit masculine compared to the ref art. The eyes look awsome-really nice! keep up the work and keep postin'.

It sounds like a ram problem, photoshop 6 is a memory beast! How much RAM do you have?

I, as many, recieved Amapi free when I purchesed Carrara. I was eager to learn, but the tutorial that came with it was kinda rough. I did just order the manual for $30 from Eovia. It hasn't come in yet, but I'm hoping it eases the learning curve. Good luck!

Thread: Victoria hair and eyes in Bryce? | Forum: Bryce
Thank you so much for the responses!! I have Carrar which I love, but it can't handle vicky. Beside I wanted to get Bryce for it's great scenery ability anyway. Just a couple of questions: Could I import a Carrara scene into Bryce? How good is it's redering engine/light setup? Will all the texture carry over?

Having some success by the leads you guys gave, along with my own adjustments. From what I'm getting, so far, you have the handle the hair as if were built in Carrara. By that I mean, take it into the shader studio, apply the color map, although it will already be loaded from poser. Then go into the transparancy section and load the poser transparancy file. Also, m ake sure you check the make white non refletive button on the bottom. I need to play with it, but it's getting there. After that I'll tackle the eyes. AARRGGGHHHH! I just want ot get my first piece done!!! I'll keep in touch!

Thread: Painting with textures | Forum: Photoshop
It depends on what your asking. If your looking to add a colored pattern, you can copy the pattern, put it on a seperate layer. If the model is wearing a light colored outfit your in luck. Take the layer with the texture and multiply it. This will allow all the shadows to show thru, giving a more convincing look. As far as molding it you will need to place with it. version 6 has a warping ability to the layer which may help. As well you will need to do some cloning as well as duplicating the pattern on seperate layer and put then together. Also note, you would want to put a layer mask that is the out line of the article of cloths. This way you can move a round the pattern without re clipping it again. If It's a texture you want to add. Load a texture in a channel, load it, then darken the shadows/brighten the highlites. Hope this helps! feel free to email me w/ any questions.

That's amazing!! You should put out a how to book. This program is lacking in that department. Every book store has tons of books on 3DS, Maya, etc. What about Carrara? Ray dream had a bunch in it's day. Think about it. I'd buy it!
