Thanks Ratteler. Two things surprise me. 1. Nobody else seems to have realised that this guy is just plain taking the piss. Half a sword? 2. He didn't restrict its use in violent images on his latest 'offering.' Although what can you do with half a sword? Like you I can hardly wait for the next one.

Do I need an egyptian column that the usage is restricted on? Yup! I'll keep it in the same folder as my chocolate fireguard and the wheels for my cow. Can't help noticing that there's not even a thumbnail with the item in question. No info whatsoever on the user's homepage. And no gallery of his/her/its own. Why does the word 'Troll' spring to mind?

Do you have a photographic memory? Or a huge database of files cross-referenced by name, type, age, sex, genre and blood-group? You should start your own prop-reference agency. :o).

Doubtful. It would have to be registered at some point during or just after installation if I'm not mistaken. (Correct me if I'm wrong someone.) In which case its useless to anybody else.

Thread: A render problem with PPP | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Agrees with Blackhearted. I had exactly the same problems with an almost identical system. P3 800 with 512Mb RAM. It froze regularly under Win98se. I upgraded to XP and all my problems disappeared. It still occasionally gives me a program not responding message in the title bar. But it always restarts. I've actually tried to get it to freeze. Loaded Poser with multiple figures, High-res maps and loads of lights. All it does is think for a few extra seconds before getting on with the rendering. When it used to happen in 98se I'd usually quit and restart my computer, disable all background apps then load and try again. Worked half of the time. The larger and more complex the scene the more trouble it gave me.

Thread: amazing image in the gallery | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Its a great piece of work. I recently posted a similar question. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=926939 As is mentioned in that thread its the complexity of the mesh of the figures used as well as the resolution of the textures that sets the limit on how many figures can be in a single scene. My most complex so far has a mere nine figures. (Same link or 'Harem' in my gallery.} It was created 'all in one piece' without resorting to layering several images. Using layers I suppose the number of figures is limitless. There was a huge amount in the excellent tutorial I found on the subject. Sadly I don't think that is available anymore. It was on Dendras's site. Anyone know if its still available and where?

Love the Vicky parade. :o). Hiram. Its all one image. No compositing involved. Although I pre-posed each figure separately then imported and rotated and translated them into position.

Thread: Question on conforming: | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The conform tool is used to fit clothing and other props to your figure. It won't work on a second figure. If you want two figures in the same pose I'd set up the first figure the way you want it. Then open your Pose library and add the pose. (Click on the + icon.) Now create your second figure and apply your newly saved pose. Hope this helps.

Thread: P4 "secret" Hair generator - advice needed. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow! I had never come across this feature before and just tried it for the first time. I've come to two conclusions based on two trials. First Vicky doesn't suit a beard. And secondly I will NEVER invest in mohair underpants. I'll sure be experimenting with this though. :o).

Hmm. I got to wondering what defective component could cause an extended delay. My theory is its the latch on the toilet door and until someone lets him out.... :o).

Thread: Daz 3D Program | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Would a DAZ/CL merger be a good thing? I've always been of the opinion that competition between companies generates more in the way of innovation. Having to compete against a strong rival forces the companies in question to provide the best they possibly can for their user base. If you merge all the companies that provide similar software you don't get one superprogram. You get Microsoft.
