It conjures up a particular south park episode.......... and all i can see is cartman with like an 80 foot satalite dish coming out of his............ dun dun dun.

nope wouldn't hurt, i usually get that when i try to open a big scene file i saved, or sometimes in rendering.   I'll update it  and hopefully that clears that up lol thanks!

Glad it all worked out, i've gotten that error message myself, the memory one, at least now i know what the problem is, its the video card drivers woot

So that there just solved a problem I hadn't asked about yet LOL

As a last resort, try running crap cleaner, which you can get at www.download.com.  Do a search for crap cleaner.  It will clean up the registry and show problems and fix them.

A word of warning tho, if the registry is really fubar, it might cause other problems.  But before you restore your whole system and reinstall windows, you might want to give that a shot.

Also, make sure to do a scan disk, as I was having a slow painfully timed out load until i realized I hadn't done a scandisk in eons.

I had this problem back in the day when I lived in an apartment.  Every friday and saturday night, the upstairs neighbor would have "friends" over and play music, all night..... for two nights straight.

There was no way you could sleep thorugh it, as it shook the friggin walls! LOL.  So, one friday night, since i couldnt sleep and could hear their music full well, i started writing down each song they were listening to.   Over the next week, i compiled a list of songs on a tape deck, and i electrical taped one of my speakers to the ceiling.  When their next friday night party ended, and the guests tricked out, and the music stopped (3am), I turned mine on...... and left it on, til noon the next day lol.

It stopped.

Yes I recommend foreplay...... that should do the trick :)

I'll avoid the money trap.  Now I've got V4...... oh great this is out, this is made for her, let me get it!  Eghads....... I'm already getting vertigo.

I have stephanie, david, M3, and other figures, grabbed them up quick so excited to have something new......... but those have precious little support.  SInce I'm not a genie, nor can see the future, I'll wait to see if V4 is supported.  Even then, V3 works fine for me, and other than a few pose problems I could fix with postwork, I dont see the need to drop more cash on the latest thing.

I was heated to say the least, when the V3 I spent through the nose for (M3 too for that matter) was then unexpectedly offered for....... you guessed it ....... FREE.  

Now I'm getting smart, and hindsight is 20/20.  I can wait, for as long as it takes until its either free, uber supported, or marked down to cut rate.

I've been doing fine so far with v3 and the gang, and with poser 6.  I'm not convinced yet (nor will I be) that I need the "new and improved".  I'll wait for ratings on poser 7, and see what the complaint list is before I even seriously take a look at it.  My money is better spent this season on presents lol., than the "latest and greatest"

I've actually had this problem numerous times with poser 6, even with the v3 injections loaded, I KNOW what you are talking about.

I can rotate dials to kingdom come for expressions, changes or muscles, even bigger chest......nada.

To fix this, click on ANOTHER body part, wait til you see it change to that body party (anything but what you really want to change) in the dial library (from "thigh" to say, "forearm", then go back and select the thigh, then try turning the dials again.

That usually fixes it for me.  no CLUE why it does that, drives me crazy.

Sadly all catagories are down now, and it notes on the front page to not make any orders.

Yeah the back cloak you can use the bard and scale it to make it longer, or the romeo cloak, both work very well.

Another Idea would be to use Rubio's sheet, tho his site has been down for eons now, which is really really sad.   The sheet can be used to volumize gowns, add more "umph" to cloaks and so fourth, and works well on its own scaled and moved around.

I'd forgotten about the romeo cloak, that'll work

if all you want is white, or a color, just go into materials and remove the texture, and in the color box, just add the color you want and play with the highlight and reflections as needed :)

P.S. If you have experience in the cloth room, making either cloak dynamic really helps

That aside, I've found wonderful tutorials here at renderosity of course, and I've used acadia's list myself!

If you are looking for one that just goes over the back, to just past the waist, try DAZ's cloak included in the bard for david.   Though its for david I've had great luck with it with other figures and some manuvering.

you can remove the texture it comes with, and just apply another texture.

Sometimes I think the problem is the moniker put on it "Artist".  Photographer, playwrighter, actor, painter....... or 3d/CGI....... guess what, all art.

When i started using poser, I thought my work was utterly brilliant....... when now i look back, eeeeeeghads what was I thinking?  It was actually that, over time, looking back, that I said, "Oh god I have to do better than this!!"

I started with poser, photoshop and a wacom tablet, and bryce, because working in oil pencils and coals was...... pretty problematic with two small inquisitive (and dare i say artistic?) children.  Picture the walls, you get the idea.

After realizing, oops, plastic, and making other notations such as sun is coming from the right but in this render I have the light coming from the left......... it was time to fix this.

I scoured the web, renderosity in particular and the tutorials were a BLOODY GOLD MINE.  Step by step...... and I had been an artist before, on paper with pencils....... now?

My office looks like a high tech lab, LOL.  My kids are as fascinated with the wacom as they were with the pencils, but they can't figure it out to save their lives! yay!.

From using plug ins and copy/paste hair to..........dare i say it, painting strand by strand, wow, what a difference.

It takes time and i'm no where NEAR perfect and at many shrines of art in the galleries i worship and am not worthy, I aspire to be like (not exact copies, just learn the techniques and run).

I find the poser proposition an interesting one, and justhad a post because on another art site, the method, not the art, was more critiqued.

I can stand to hear "lighting stinks....... god what color choice?" you know, somethings technically or artistically WRONG.  But "how" i did it?  I'm just not used to that.

We suffer I think, because...... in the non computer life, a new artist, say a teen, draws an image of their favorite game character off a CD case or whatever..... and shows all his friends.  Its rough, its new, he's never drawn before....... some say its crap, some say its great, and he tries again.

The problem is with poser, when we show things online, in galleries, the new user and the old hat........ we are all just lumped in like one person.  There's no mercy for the new user anymore, lol.  Its true, but we all start with crap.  God knows I did.

But...... what if there's 1300 new poser users posting thier masterpieces in deviant art?  At elfwood?   These are people used to seeing line drawings or oil paintings, not new 3d users.

Some are just, bloody harsh.
