When I use poser7 to build the scene everything behaves, so I cannot help exactly. But if the clothing stays posed, just shifted off the figure, you can reattach it to the figure by going to the properties tab, object list, and dropping the clothing name onto the character's name.
Thread: Carrara 6.1.1 fur - Gorilla Cartoon WIP | Forum: Carrara
Such a cute gorilla. Is he so happy because he is headed for a table piled high with bananas?
Good lush fur, I don't see anything to comment on, the brushing you did was just right.
Thread: Carrara 6 Pro tutorials are live - finally. | Forum: Carrara
At last! (goes to website for much needed tips and tricks) Working for a living? Oops, that's where I was supposed to go today!
Thread: Another hair problem | Forum: Carrara
Check to be sure you have guide hairs at all. Then check to see if the "visible" box is checked for the hair group.
I know there is some action that unchecks visible (unintentionally). It has happened to me twice, but I haven't traced the actions yet. I have the latest C6, NOT pro.
The hair seems to work better if there are more guide hairs, rather than less. Also, check the tool settings. Experiment with ridiculously high settings and see how quickly the hair responds. I find that lower settings are waaaaay slow, intended for fine work.
Some guide hair must be selected for the tools to work.

Oops, forgot: before you save the poser file, delete the lights. When you get the file into C6 you may need to delete ground.
Thread: Transposer question | Forum: Carrara
I have done that several times, importing a poser scene into an open carrara scene. I used the simple C6 import, not transposer. It gives you multiple camera1's and universes, but still works. BUT: I have never tried it with dynamic clothing. Good luck.
Thread: Carrara, Poser, and what I need to satisfy a job requirement | Forum: Carrara
In the DAZ carrara forum, a user has posted a thread titled "intermediate tips, tricks and tuts" with all the tutorials she could find. This list includes some of what you will need for your project.
http://members.iinet.net.au/~njfinlay/tutorials has a tutorial on "rendering a poser figure against a backdrop" which walks you through setting up a scene and getting the lights and angles right (very easy by the way) to match the backdrop. The tutorial is for a still, but you could take it to an animation very quickly.
Thread: What advantages does C6 pro have over C6 std? | Forum: Carrara
Thanks for the info. So with my current plans in mind, I will instead spend the money on some nifty plug-ins. The different shader packs are like candy, I can't resist.

Thread: GI dome, sky dome question | Forum: Carrara
Thanks for the information. My first attempts at lighting outdoor scenes in Carrara show me I have much to learn about light placement. If I understand the sky dome correctly, it will make it easier to make posing changes after building a scene. I would not have to change 3 lights just because I changed the tilt on the actor's head!
I will give the dome a try.

I prefer the original length to width ratio as it has a more "oriental" feel, which suits the bird and bush dual theme.
The good item to keep from the second picture is the cast shadow of the one bird on the other. As this is a chittering chattering flock, it is good to have the shadows interacting also!
The interaction of the red sunset with the red of the figures is exciting, should be fun to paint.

I love birds. We don't see enough of them in renders. How about adding some tiny little other thing on the tree, like a bug, just to contrast the beauty of the birds?
Thread: Daz|studio+Carrara6 vs Poser7 And the winner is...? | Forum: Carrara
I, former Poser user, say go to Carrara. The render quality is hugely better and it is easy to use once you have learned how. Unfortunately "once you have learned how" varies from person to person.
There is a french language site for Carrara called polyloops with some helpful tutorials.
