Thanks Miss Nancy,
Well I did google the names of the two painters and found them on wiki.
Underneath the pictures I found this "statement"
This image (or other media file) is in the public domain because its copyright has expired.
This applies to the United States, Canada, the European Union and those countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 70 years.
Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 70 years: Mexico has 100 years, Côte d'Ivoire has 99 years, Colombia has 80 years, and Guatemala and Samoa have 75 years. This image may not be in the public domain in these countries, which moreover do not implement the rule of the shorter term. Honduras also has a general copyright term of 75 years, but does implement that rule of the shorter term.
One artist passed away in 1861 and the other in 1849.
So I asume that I can use these pictures to convert to tattoo's.
Corect me if I'm wrong.
P.S.
With "my girl" I mean the poser model I work on.
Yeah, yeah, I know. Single people tend to say strange things in that area ;-)

Thread: Odd question about Copy Right | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well after the pointers you gave, I did a bit more research and found that the prints are copy right free.
After googling the print names I found the artist names.
With those I googled again and found them on wikipedia.
There they state that the prints have expired copy rights.
Problem solved and thanks for putting me in the right direction =)

Thread: Should Poser be started with a drawing? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Personaly I think its all personal ;-)
During my life I did quiet some airbrush work.
(The one with the paint and air)
The most I liked to do was freehand work, and usualy I didnt use a sketch.
In general I started with a photo or just a idea in my head.
Recently I dived into the world of 3D, I already used PhotoShop a bit.
Mostly for some small work.
Now I learn to use Blender and make my own props from scratch or with the help of pictures.
The rest of my 3D work is just from the top of my head.
I get a idea, I fire up the programs needed and start placing things around, make poses etc.
During that proces the idea evolves and gets more clear.
Sometimes during the prosses I discover that I need a prop, so on to the next program.
Slowly I work to a end product.
At least this way its not getting boring for me, switching from one program to another keeps things interesting.
Specialy when diferent programs use diferent key's for nearly the same thing ;-)
For me personal, a scetch somewhat limits me in the idea evolving.
It alway's gives me the idea that I have to move whitin the limits of that scatch and that the end result has to be similar.
I know, its my own wicked mind =)
On a rare occasion I make a quick sketch, usualy when I get a idea and are not near my comp.
Its more a rough idea on paper so I dont forget it later ;-)
So at the end, I think its all just personal preverences.
Just do what you feel comfortable with.
Happy creating, and keep the grey matter active =)

Thread: P7 Material Room Problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When you go to the materials room,
Select your figure, than "body"
You see "thumbnail" with the texture whis is used at that moment.
Click on that thumbnail to open a browser screen from where you can select your mod skin.
Than click OK.
Now your new mod skin should be in that thumb and on your figure.
I hope this made some sence.

Thread: looking for a good free 3d software | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Recently I started to use Blender, and I dont have any 3D modeling experience so far.
The first time you look at Blender, it all looks a bit odd and confusing.
But I have to say that you grow into it and learn to use it quit fast.
Also the Blender community is big, so there are a lot of usefull tutorials out there.
There is even a blender-wiki with a lot of tut's and info.
Blender also can export as OBJ file.
Good luck with finding the program you like =)

Quote - When you are satisfied, first save it as a .PSD (PS) or .PSP (PaintShop Pro) etc. Then merge everything together and save as a .jpg, .bmp etc in a place where you can easily find it.
You dont need to save it as a JPG, etc file.
You just can use the PSD file.
At least thats how I do it.
It's realy handy when you want to do adjustments, you can flip back and forward to photoshop to do your adjustments and save it.

Thread: Opinion needed on character | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks SeanMartin for the pointer.
I get the feeling that the curve up is more Chinese.
The epicanthal fold in the close up is a bit to heavy, now every time I look at it it gives me the idea of a vampire from Buffy. =)
So more adjustment needed.
BastBlack, thanks for the link.
That is some great material there to work with.
The lighting in the renders are not great, just set up to light them.
Well back to my dials and magnets =)
As a side note, I made the Dragunov in Blender.
Not perfect yet, need to fidle around with the textures more.
But thats a problem to deal with later =)

Thread: Thank You All from an old vet | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello Seth,
Since I am complete new to 3D modeling / art, I am afraid I can only offer you support at the moment.
The few things I made so far are far from perfect, but I am learning =)
Hopefully I can offer some things in the future.
Good to see some brothers in arms around here.

Thread: So Poser is considered crap compared to most 3D "artists" programs ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As far as I can see it, it's the same as with for example car's.
If your used to a Rolls Royce with all the bell's and whistles, electric windows and what not, than a Lada is crap in your eye's.
But both will bring you from A to B.
It's up to the driver to do it save and in time.
And even the Lada driver has less luxury, you might be surpriced to see what some people can do with it.

Thanks for the help and pointers all.
Jessi is not a easy person to work with indeed, kind of my type =)
Well I searched the web for pictures and looked around for characteristics.
And started working on Jessi with the found info.
Had to add quiet a few magnets, so I better keep her away from metal objects ;-)
The end result is fairly good I think, and I still can tweek her with the new dials.
I even added a dial for the Epicanthal fold.
I slowly get her to were I want to, but still a lot of work to do.

Thanks,
I wil try and see what it looks.
I am not a expert myself eather and used the characteristics as far as I know them.
I widend the nose, cheekbones and jaw a bit.
And lifted the lower eyelid.
I think the eye's came out pretty nice, she looks quiet furyous =)
