I didn't have much, but I took it down because I don't feel I can trust Edgenet with it. I have no problem at all with community members using it, and it will all be posted at 3d commune when the freestuff is up and running. Obviously I can't speak for anyone else, but I think the general feeling was in protest, as opposed to non-use by the community. Gawain, I feel really sorry for anyone who got caught up in this mess unwittingly, since we all come (or came) here to appreciate and enjoy. I personally have a lot to thank Renderosity for, but I don't like to see good people being abused and so have withdrawn my stuff from the site (not that there was much!)in protest. I hope it will all blow over soon and that R'osity, R'otica and 3d commune ALL continue to serve the Poser community as they see fit. Me... philodox...you're right. maybe "show a little loyalty" is an inappropriate comment and I apologize. everyone should decide for themselves. it's a free net, right? I have no problem with profit AT ALL. it's healthy! but I prefer known quantities (ie people) to faceless companies. I'm just sorry that this whole thing has split the community, but I sincerely hope that whatever new sites come put of it that they AND Renderosity go from strength to strength. OK. I'll go ahead and finish this, although it may be a while (have to go to Greece tomorrow for a week) Does anyone know anything about making whiskers? I could maybe do it in 3D Max, but I don't have much experience. Ironbear..will include the Photoshop file, so it can be put on any texture map and if you come up with anything, post me I think my problem is the new computer, a 2 x 550Mhz celeron running Windows 2000. still haven't got it under control. oh, well... maclean

ironbear, thanks. I got the ear morphs from Traveler and tried them. I think I prefer the ears on her, but I'd probably put a morph in anyway. Don't know about other textures, as this one's taking me a long time. For some reason, every time I use the natural brushes in Photoshop, my computer crashes. 5 or 6 times an evening, so it's slow going!! thanks for the interest, guys. will plod on. thinking of including the texture as a Photoshop layer so you can put it straight over any P4 fem. maybe better. maclean

nice one, mason! I had thought of using some kind of cross-hatched panel for shadows in front of mine, which I sometimes do for photo-shoots, but I never got around to trying it. this shows it can work. and yes, the hateful thing about Poser is the high-contrast light...well done! maclean PS I see it changes the background color too.

wow! just looked at the Mobius figure. it's so cool I don't know if could even begin to compete with it. looks like I missed the boat again! still, I may mess around with the idea. it was really the refl. map thing I'd been doing that put it into my head. maybe there's a way of mapping a P4 fem for a kind of all-purpose chrome look. probably tricky, but worth investigating. I dunno.. any thoughts on this one, anyone...it occurred to me that using tex maps, you can put creases, folds and shadows on clothes. have been playing with it (a basic pleated skirt) but I need to think of a way to make it realistic. maybe my next project, I'll see how it goes. ther best to all maclean
