I think I know why the modelers make the heads so small. So many poser users have never learned how to change the focal settings on the camera to get rid of that fisheye lens effect. So, to compensate for this and make the heads appear normal, the modelers make them smaller than actual size so that they won't look as weird when rendered with the camera at the 38mm default. OR I could just be full of it. :D Kate
Thread: OT-ish: women's belts - which way do they go? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
For me the tail of the belt is usually on the left. I don't know that there IS a "proper" way for a woman's belt to go. I wear mine that way because it's just more natural for me. And I'm sort of left handed, but also sort of right handed (quasi-ambidextrous). Some things I can only accomplish as a lefty - writing, drawing, etc, and other things as a righty - scissors, pot stirring, etc. The worst is that I both catch and throw with my right hand, which made it tough to pass high school gym class during softball season. :) Kate the Weirdly Wired

LOL. Trust me, anytime you showed up out here would be an excuse for a party with this bunch. If I didn't organize one, Carolly would I'm sure. Yer such a tease... :)

Aww... I wish y'all were closer too. Never fear - if anyone shows up who isn't one of my drunken relatives, there'll be lots of pics to share, I promise. :) I generally have two major BBQs a year - the 4th and my birthday in August. Anton, you book a flight into either Oakland or San Fran and transportation to and from the airport is nooooo problem. Bit of a trip just for a few ribs and burgers, tho. ;) Kate
Thread: M3 genital morph? object? what? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've noticed that it doesn't matter which Mike 3 genital pack you get, there still isn't a "gravity" morph for the scrotum that you can use when he's on his hands and knees. It's just plain weird to have him down there looking for a contact lens with his fambly jools still stuck up between his legs instead of dangling down like a normal person. Weird, I tell ya, just plain wierd. Kate (who wishes she had the skills to make morphs - and don't even think about suggesting magnets cuz even with tutorials I can't get 'em to work right)

Thanks Clint. It gets so frustrating trying to wade through all the stuff I'm NOT looking for, ya know? :)
Thread: Before I bother PhilC, WW script problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ahhh, thanks folks. I was starting to worry a bit there. But since it's working for y'all I shouldn't have any problem as the only poser folders I have that start with numbers are in the textures folder (3Dream hair tex, etc.). Quit scarin' me like that, will ya?? :D Kate (the easily frightened)

Well, I haven't tried WW yet, but if it has to be on my C: drive, then forget it. That's my win98 OS - I don't run Poser 5 or 6 in 98, I run them in 2K which is on my D: partition and I never EVER install anything to my OS partitions. All my other programs go to the E: or H: drives. I've lost too much stuff to crashes in the past - I won't go through that again (in fact, just last week I had to totally reinstall my W2K since something got screwed up and it wouldn't boot. Thank goodness I had the w98 as a backup OS or I'd have been totally out of luck). Kate (who won't use a program that won't allow installation on MY choice of drives and folders)

And a helpful tip for "backing up" your serial numbers and unlock keys - I keep a special section of my rolodex just for that. Each piece of software has it's own card with all the codes on it. I stick it in the back behind all the regular stuff. That way, even if the system crashes or I lose the e-mail txt file, I still have the numbers I need. Kate

If the updated drivers are causing the problem, go back to the old drivers and see if that works. Sounds strange, but I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" when it comes to computer upgrades and such. Kate (the semi-luddite)

I figured something new was out there the other day when I got a "e-mail account suspended" notice from "Support@shrewslair.com" Since I AM "support" (and webmaster, and sales. and help, and admin, and every other title imaginable) @shrewslair.com, I knew it was some sort of virus. Especially since it was signed "Support Team" - and simce I'm the "team" and I know I haven't suspended my own e-mail account - that one was flagged and deleted unopened. Sheesh.
