I found an uninstaller in rosity, but it only works if you used it to install the item initially.

Thread: Library takes soooooo long to load | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi shedofjoy---I feel your pain!!!! I have 60 GB of stuff in my main runtime. Which is the original P4 runtime. I have a couple of other runtimes that I use less frequently for specialized stuff. I hate to move out of the main runtime because it takes a few minutes to get back into it. "Thefixer" is right about being easier to move around in one runtime if you have a lot of stuff.
The problem I would have now with several smaller runtimes is moving a hugh amount of stuff from the 60 GB runtime into the smaller runtimes. I think I would have to delete stuff and then reinstall into the smaller runtimes.
I would like to delete a lot of junk from the large runtime but finding and deleting all the geometries, textures and poses for each item would be a major nightmare. I guess the computer answer for this is always get a bigger hard drive and a faster computer.
By the way defragging your hard drive might speed things up for you.
This is a correction: I just timed going from P6 runtime back into the 60GB P4 runtime and it only took 20 seconds. Before I defragged the hard drive it took 3 or 4 minutes to make the change.

Thread: Posing Lights, preview doesn't match render | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Actually the problem that I am having is when I pose a figure or group of figures and then I change their position by turning the main camera. I readjust the lights to illuminate the figures in the new position and it appears that they are properly lit. However when I render it shows alot of dark areas that are not lit even though it appeared to look fine in the preview. Does light in the preview only show what the light should look like if the figures were fully facing the main camera rather than in the altered position?
Thread: Alpha channels and Poser 6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
For tastigers question: Sometimes I do a lot of quick renders in a series and then later go back and tweak the figure and background in Photoshop for just the best ones (comes from my photography background) For this reason I save one render as a jpg and another as a psd in case I want to go back and fix it up. I like to do renders on a larger scale but unfortunately Poser causes a lot of pixelation of the backgrounds in the large renders. For this reason I have used the P4 render engine because it is fast. That worked very well in P5 but does not work in P6. So my current workaround is to save a quick render jpg (with pixelated background) and another as a png in case I want to take the time to make a really nice scene in photoshop over a nice 5MP photo background.

Here is the message from Curious Labs Tech Support that basically says that P6 can't do it like I could in P5.
"Dear Mr. Hendricks,
Unfortunately, at the moment the only way to render out an image with a transparent background in Poser 6 is to choose Render Over Black in the Render Settings, then save the rendered image as a PNG file. We apologize for the inconvenience."

Thread: Poser 6 importing backgrounds | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks Geep, I still have some issues with resizing the window in Poser6, doesn't work like Poser 5 but I have found a way around the grey edges and the grey default background on the bottom of the render. This is my first day with P6 and I expect a few more surprises. Lance

Thread: exchange clothing between Laura and sp3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks Netherworks. So if they are separate products I should be able to buy the SP3 outfit, but I can only find the Laura outfit on renderosity-where can I get the SP3 outfit?
Thread: exchange clothing between Laura and sp3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
On rechecking the item, "winter wonders", I see that it fits Laura and SP, not SP3. That makes more sense since Laura and SP are both the millenium mesh and not unimesh. Thanks
Thread: P5 adding textures into materials library | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks ynsean, that's a good explanation of how to get materials into the library one at a time. What I would like to know is how to put 50 textures in there at once so I could use them just like the materials that come pre-installed in P5.
Thread: V3 to V2 texture conversion | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I already had the newer version with the update. I'm only getting the checker board pattern in one area, I may have to live with that.
Thread: V3 to V2 texture conversion | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I updated UTC with SR 1 version 1.1.0. After testing I found the same problem. Checkerboard on the medial right upper thigh. It was most prominent in the Milla character but present also with other conversions. I fixed them in Photoshop, but it would have been easier to have it done right to begin with. Cedarwolf let me know if it works for you. Thanks
