That's 184M - no wonder my hard drive is full!

You're absolutely right! Thanks for this. Any idea why it might be an idea why it might be an idea to have them on? Does it do anything other than reduce the file size by a factor of 10?

Thread: Poser Pro 2012:Shadow Cam Focal Length | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Yep. It's not focal but, on rethinking this you can use the lights focal dials while watching through the light camera. This is what I hoped to say. To be clear, right click workwindow, select correct shadowcam. Then left click the centermost light on lightball icon. This should swap parameter box to your camera's light.
Now you can tune your light and slave your camera to your actions. Changing your light's focal should now have a realtime effect in preview. Also aligning your subject matter to realtime light and shadow.
That did the trick - thanks very much everyone!

Thread: Poser Pro MAJOR MAJOR problem!!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't really know what I'm talking about, but I had a totally different issue (harware installation) wiht the same effect as yours i.e. it affected ALL versions of Poser I had and caused them all to crash upon loading, before even the serial number and user name had appeared on the splash screen. I eventually tracked down the culprit, a small program which monitored when the new hardware was plugged in, via Task Manager and was able to disable it, after which Poser launched and ran each and every time. It wasn't an ideal solution, but it at least it meant I could run Poser until I got it fixed.
It might be worth using Task Manager to see if Vue has installed a Startup process which is conflicting with Poser.

Hah! I've put a new image up; if it wasn't for the kind folks here, I'd be looking at a different outcome. One benefit of running CC leaner and the other stuff mentioned is that my PC now whizzes along!

Thread: Poser crashing upon launch | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well - after deleting the drivers for the tablet, but not being able to find any other trace of it on the system but with Poser still crashing, in desperation I ran Task Manager' Lurking in there was a process called "ATWUSB.EXE", which appears to monitor when the tablet is connected. I disabled this and Lo! and indeed Behold! Poser launched first time and every time since. I managed to work out how to prevent ATWUSB.EXE from being loaded at startup, but can't find any way of actually uninstalling it, as apart from it running as a process, there appears to be no trace of it anywhere on my system. I had a previous tablet from the same manufacturer which used to sit happily alongside Poser for years, so I'm going to install the drivers that came with that (I never throw any CDs away!) and hope that they work with the new tablet. If all elase fails I'll re-install the new drivers and just hope that I can switch off ATWUSB.EXE whenever I need to launch Poser. It's got me exhausted - thanks for all the advice and tips folks.

Well, it didn't work. I don't know what to do, other than to reinstall Vista and that would be massive. I don't even know if it would fix the problem.

Thanks for these replies guys - at least I know where to start sniffing around....! I tried the manufacturer's website (Aiptek) but the driver they have there appears to be older than the one that came with the tablet. I'm going to try the tweaking.com idea and see if that helps.
