thanks english bob, i was in two minds on which forum to post in, but decided to post here just incase there was a better way other than using UVmapper :D
i have one question about roadkill? when you get to the stage where you draw the seams and then press the C key, how long does it take to flatten the UVmap.. i was waiting almost ten minutes before and i had to switch it off to out :D just wanted to check before i try again

hehe, thanks for the extra info. i have now converted all of the prop files to have links to the OBJ. It looks like different people have different preferences on this too.. its not a simple task hehe..
I may as well ask here as its on a similar subject. If i want to save one pp2 which contains a whole scene of props how would i do that. Am i right in thinking Parenting everything to a ground Prop and then saving the ground would do that or is there another method..Ive not tried this as i have not created a ground prop yet :D

Thanks for your help guys, that program is really easy to use :D and does the job very well
It has brought me a new problem though, when i saved the props i changed the material names in the Txt file so now i have to change them in the OBJs.. Darn!!
Thanks for your help, i think ill pop over too the Maya forum for the answer to my new problem :D

hey guys i really like some of the morphs people are gettin with male morphs.
just thought id show my new v4.2 male character :D hes the twin brother of my female character so hes a bit pretty. (so im on subject LOL)

hey guys i just wanted to check if anybody has had this problem with v4.2.
i set the male morphs for the body and some of the face plus my own character head INJ. i then applied one of the GW male textures,a preset pose and used v4 real skin shader by face off.
when the skin shader finished applying the MAT the lights dissapeared for a second, i thought nothing of it and saved the scene.
when i later reopened the scene the lights were gone and the pose has reset. its not a huge deal re applying the lights and pose but im just checking if anyone knew what might be happening? and whether they can replicate this situation and see if it is just me :D

Hi thanks for the reply, now that you mention it i didnt try to render in a different process. Cos i dont know what that is LOL
What does rendering in another process mean?
Ill give the area render thing a go if that doesnt work
