Try sizing the terrain in standard mode. Play around in the editor & finally change it over to procedural when all that is finished. When it asks about the adding nodes to terrain, say yes. If that fails then just open up a procedural terrain scene from the extra's disk & tweak it some.

Rays of light, posted a brief reply on the picture as to it's origins. 84,000 odd trees. Wabe posted a 100,000 tree pic the day the program launched & that was the general inspiration for the piece. We've been here years & have seen Vue really make big strides. He is a font of knowledge when it comes to VUE. My gallery only starts recently because I deleted the previous one in a fit of pique. DOH.

You can change the texture for the eco on the general tab. You can also make it procedural by double clicking the terrain & using the drop down to switch over, you will have to re-populate the eco afterwards though. My machine is 266ghz, 1gb ram & I just posted a huge procedural with large ecosytem with global illumination. 1024 size render in 3hrs or so. The first attempt was 37hrs & 55% so I went back & changed the GI quality to -1, this then rendered in the 3hrs. Hope that helps.

You could do this with 'Infinite' Just use an ecosystem of rocks, scale them down small & apply a fairly high density. It will look good, but will rack up a huge poly count affecting render times. Rokol.

I've got the Infinite demo & just bring textures over from my Vue4 pro folder because the demo locks out the bulk of included procedurals. No problems so far.

Change the presence settings on the general tab of the ecosystem. Try the backroom for tutorials, also check 'materials' for ecosystem specific stuff.

Got it too. My only quibble is with the preview window. If you are trying to blur a large image you only get to see a small section of the picture. Can't find a way to resize it! Like they way you can change the gamma & brightness values of the depth map to focus on what's wanted. It's also very fast. That last image is very good indeed Agiel!!

There is also a link to a renderfarm company for Vue Pro ( don't know if they have updated to Infinite yet) at E-ON's site. It flashes up on the front page. Will cost you, but could get things sorted out faster.

No animation yet. Looks like they might do it in future. Love the way you can just click & it instantly changes DOF.
