They're always a learning experience, IMO. I don't even have a problem with commercial WIPs, truth be told. All knowledge shared is knowledge gained.
Keep it up Connie!

Quote - Make sure when you are copying and pasting the gift certificate code that there are no leading or trailing spaces. And be sure to hit the apply button next to the Gift Certificate field after you put the code in.
I just tried, but still the same message. Here's a question though, it's a really long code, and there is a period near the middle. Should this be? Or should it only be alphanumeric?

I'm getting the message that the coupon is expired/invalid now too. Any advice? (Sheesh, I'm one big walking problem today, LoL)

Quote - What browser are you using?
I'm using IE7, but until you asked the question, I hadn't yet installed the very latest MS updates. I did that, rebooted, and now everything works fine.
Thanks to both of you for the help!

Quote - Have You tried Logging out of the site...and then logging back in?
Tom
Well, when I cleared the cookies, I was automatically logged out, but I figured I'd try physically doing it, and seeing if that worked. Unfortunately, the same deal. Thanks for the advice. Anything else I might be able to try? It's really weird.

Like so many other things on this site since the change, that link doesn't open for me. Since I keep getting regular gallery post e-mail alerts, and it looks like the forums are alive and kicking, it must be just me, but I'm incredibly frustrated since this change. I can't view anything on the site.
Thread: Any CP Passport Members Present? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, I can't find the product on CP now. The only Poser Science item available is the Freedom Tower/WTC set.
I know there was something in one of the packages that had a bunch of clues for something in the future. Could this have been part of it? I never managed to get through the clues, so I have no idea.

Quote - I want to clear up the reason we said that we would not be opening a new forum at this time.
We open new forums based on MEMBER requests, not just based on the request of the product creator. If we get numerous requests from members for a new forum then we (admin/mods) would discuss it at that time. So far the only request we have received for a new forum is from the product creator, thus my response to him.
Thanks:)
Stacey
Hey Stacey!
If it matters, I for one, would love to see a FaceShop forum here @ 'Rosity. This is the only art related site I visit practically every day. I skip Daz unless there's a sale on something I want, and I only visit RDNA when I get the newsletter. 3DC is an almost never, and I don't go anywhere else except the ImagineFX site (but I haven't been there in about a month.)

Quote - Actually, I'm glad that this was posted here. If it had been posted in the PS forum, then I probably wouldn't have noticed it for awhile. Now I know about it.
Ya know......I don't really understand why people are always so determined to attack EVERY new piece of software / new character-figure / new product that comes along in this game. I've yet to see anything be released that didn't get promptly pounced on in the forums. Regardless of whether it comes from DAZ, e frontier, Rendo, or your Aunt Sally.
Even if for absolutely nothing else -- I gotta give Laslo credit for his willingness to come in here & take the heat. He even manages to keep a sense of humor along the way. Not many people can do that.
Most 'professionals' deal with this type of thing via silence.........which isn't always a bad strategy. But Laslo keeps plugging away. I thiink that he deserves a certain amount of recognition for that.

Here, here! Great post.
BTW: Laslo, that looks awesome!

Quote - > Quote - Laslo, if you don't want to spend the time and investment in starting up a forum of your own, (I wouldn't blame you one bit,), how about a Yahoo! Group? Then users can sign up for updates. I think that would be a great idea.
I actually requested from Rendo that they consider adding a FaceShop forum.
Here is the answer:Hello Laslo,
At this time we will not be adding a FaceShop forum on Renderosity.
If we get enough member requests on down the road to open up a new forum then we will discuss at that time.Thank you
StaceyAs you can see, we need a grassroots request campaing to make the "powers that be" listen.
BTW: I will start a forum at RuntimeDNA shortly (unlike Rendo they di encouraged it)
Laslo
Hmm, interesting that 'Rosity didn't want to open a forum. Maybe they're scared of the whole copyright issue going bezerk. Ah well...
Cool on RDNA though. I only go there once a week usually, but I'll make time to get over there if there's a forum for FS.
I have to say man, you are a class act. I've dealt with a lot of software vendors in my time, but never have I seen someone so involved with the user base for their product. Kudos to you!
Thread: MAKE TIME 4 UR RUNTIME! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I actually started restructuring my runtimes AGAIN, in this same manner philgreg. I had a couple different Runtimes, but most of my stuff wound up packed into the main one. It had been a mess to work with, so I started splitting up everything into individual runtimes. Rather than doing it by Figure, or Poser object type (character/prop/lights/etc.) I am doing it by the creator's name.
I know that I use certain vendor's products far more often than anyone else's. So by splitting them up by the maker, I should be able to locate what I want, when I want it, much easier. I'm at about 40+ folders right now, and I still have many more to go. I figure I should be back to normal Poser workflow somewhere around the end of the summer.
Good thread. People really don't seem to know the potential of multiple runtimes. I know I didn't truly appreciate them before.
