If you 'point at' the auxilary Camera as your target, it makes it easy to compare the position with the Main Camera.

FWIW, the Prime Meridian ran through Paris, France, until the British did a hostile takeover.

Search on 'geodesics.' R. Buckminster Fuller worked all this out in Synergetics. You could scale a geodesic sphere up to the radius you want the lights at, and place one light at each vertex. You can get Dome 4.80, a utility to generate any arbitrary sphere at http://www.applied-synergetics.com/ashp/html/domes.html. Thanks for asking.Thread: classic car poll | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'd stopped asking for the Beetle a long time ago. Now it's the Car of the [Last] Century. I'm glad to see it's coming along. =) For the California Look option -- lowered in front, narrowed front axle, Porsche or BRM wheels and no chrome trim is all it takes. If you detail the engine compartment, dual Weber 48 IDA carbs and an exhaust header. The Porsche 356 and the Beetle can share engine and wheel options. The bumper overriders ('towelracks') were an American option. European cars lack them. T-shaped nerf bars for Cal-Look. I belong to the Good Times VW club, the newsletter would benefit from this. There's no way I won't get this. And on the Deuce roadster, I hope you go with the flathead V-8.

Wow, 3 rear-engined flat-motors out of ten! I voted for the Car of the (20th) Century: the mighty VW Beetle. An article in the current VW Trends magazine lists 12 different styles for the VW: German Look Euro Look Vintage and Old Speed Baja and Off Road Custom Look Mullholland Look Kit Cars Resto-Custom Hawaiian Look Commercial Look California Look Some are indistinguishable to the public at large: Euro/German and Vintage/Old Speed/Resto-Custom. Some are way esoteric: Mulholland/Hawaiian/Commercial. But California Look is canonical. Small (145) front tires on a narrowed front axle, lowered well up into the front wheel arches, and (big) twin Weber 48 IDA carbs and your there. It looks like 12 to 10 second quartermiles just standing still.

The definitive models are by deSpona (sp?), and are/were distributed through TurboSquid. Type I, Type II and Ghia. There's a poseable Kubelwagen in the Marketplace. And if you've never been there: http://www.virtualbeetlemuseum.com

If you make the wheels go up and down, then people could lower it, or use do animations, or lower it.

Check Duddly's reply @ #4 above. I looked for a link for a yellow jeep when you posted a picture of your ride--but couldn't find it. This isn't the same one; but, hey! OT: My current rant is cars with wheels that bounce, as well as spin and steer. Not because I need it for animation; i just want to slam 'em.

...you wonld think people would be able to distinguish it from Mercedes actual product. =) Just tell 'em it's not the real deal, it's one of those replicas with a VW engine in the back. Steve, here's a thought. Car wheels spin and steer, but they also bounce. [conspiriatorial wink}

...an horizontal hinge at the top front corner of each door, so it rotates up and forward. cool car.

What will be posable? Wheels that bounce as well as spin and steer would be rilly, rilly cool.
Are you going to do any other VWs? Do you need source materials for a Kubelwagen utility trailer?
