The V4 Bodysuit chest spandex morph is better than my homemade one. But how to get it into Vicky? I tried isolating it -- deleting all morphs in the bodysuit except for that one and spawning an injection morph. But nothing happened when I injected it into Vicky. I confess I don't know everything about injected morphs, so can't explain why this doesn't work. Maybe only morphs that are created in V4 can be injected into V4.
I can 't see a chest spandex morph in the Basicwear sport bra or bikini top.

It's hard to see a great difference in the attached image, but there is.
I uploaded it to the Rendo Free area, it should be approved and posted soon.
I hope this proves useful to somebody.

All this... both the spectrum of styles of complaining and the spectrum of reaction to it... is hardly unique to Poser users or Rendo readers. Maybe the forum for Ladies Tea Time at Martha's Vineyard is not quite so cutthroat. Maybe.

Not sure why SM would insist that the scroll bars be so narrow, unless they based their judgments on a laptop screen where it looked wide enough. On a large monitor such as most use in graphics work, it is so frustrating.
Is there a line in the preferences text file where we could change 6 pixels to 12 or 20 pixels if we choose?

Another lingering library bug after SR2, at least on P8 Mac.... Sometimes, but not in any way I can reliably reproduce, the + sign disappears from the library. That is, I will be in a Props folder and have a prop selected in my scene, but cannot add it to the library because the + button is gone. Sometimes going out of the folder and back in again will restore it, other times that does not work and P8 must be relaunched.
This is not directly tied to the bugs mentioned above (Undo failing or menu commands being grayed out) because it does not happen at the same time. Bagginsbill could elaborate, but I don't think library bugs such as this are related to general memory bugs.

My computer is connected to the Internet at all times, and P8 preferences are set to check for updates on launch. Yet I have not received notifications of the hot fix, SR1 or SR2. Come to think of it, P7 never found updates either. I always learned about them here.

OT but speaking of The Girl 4.... doesn't she need some girlfriends and guys of the same artistic style? G4 is kinda lonely in her universe right now, with no one to share a scene with. Can't really put her on the arm of M4, or having lunch with a regular V4 character.

Quote - I see the scroll bar in the Library stays put and doesn't disappear anymore when you shrink the width.
This is a good thing. However, the scroll bar is still only a few pixels wide and difficult to see, never mind use. I have a precise and nimble trackball, and still the scroll bar is difficult to grab and move accurately. I can't imagine how frustrating it is with a standard wired mouse. For a library whose interface now requires considerable use of the scroll bar, this is a significant issue. It might be OK on a laptop screen, but for the high-res monitors that are commonly used for 3D and graphics... ouch.
Also was hoping for a "collapse all folders" button for the library. Maybe next time?
Another issue remaining after SR2: A memory leak (I think that's what it is) that sometimes causes the Undo function to vanish even in a very uncomplicated scene of one figure and some clothing. Less frequently, but perhaps symptomatic of the same issue, some or most of the menu items become grayed out and keyboard shortcuts no longer work. Solution is to quit P8 and restart. This was reported even before SR1. But since I can't determine exactly what actions cause it, maybe they can't either.

Correcting my above statement: On the Mac Poser 8 page, the headline over the SR2 update says it's for Windows, but the text below says it's for Mac OS X. I guess they didn't change the headline when copying the Windows text over to the Mac side.

There seems to be no SR2 for Mac. Apparently the Windows version of P8 had more urgent bugs. Hopefully they will post the Mac update soon.
Thread: I hate V4 feet! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Out of the box Vicky 4 is kinda squarish, not very curvy. Morphs++ must be bought before you can do much even in terms of body part movements. Some parts of her are not very anatomically correct, and "Use Limits" is another term for "Turn On V4's Rheumatoid Arthritis" (the limits on some limb movements is too inhibiting for a real girl of young age).
And yes, her big clunky default feet are not very feminine even with toenails painted. The person who said we do more than inflate her boobs is absolutely right.
That said, there are wonderful character sets out there, such as Alice 3 and GND4 to name a couple of the best, that turn Vicky's somewhat blockish default form and primitive default skin texture into works of exquisite feminine art.
The whole commercial premise of Vicky and DAZ3D's other products is to get you hooked with a cheap or free base item that soon will have you spending out the nose to really enjoy the product. The Rendo market is not exempt. How many times do you see a new piece of clothing for $9, immediately followed by a texture set for that clothing for $8.25? Released by a different vendor, usually, and obviously in coordination with the clothing vendor. There is nothing wrong with this add-on strategy, and we all understand it for what it is.
Anyway, that's why default V4's feet remain big and clunky and her default shape remains more blockish than curvy, and why she comes out of the box with a butch haircut and ugly purple bikini painted sloppily onto her skin. First thing you want to do is buy stuff to make her beautiful like all the promo pics and glamour-babes you see on product pages.
Not much different than the rest of the world of sales and marketing, really.

If you turn off the External Binary Morphs setting, what happens to figures and props that already have PMDs? Do the morphs just stop working?

SM may need to stop providing these items going forward, but you as the end user do not have to give up those items if you already purchased them as part of P8. Just move them someplace else until after the update and then put them back.
Whether SM has the right to remove purchased content from your runtime is a legal question I'm not qualified to answer, but I do know you have the right to prevent the deletion. At the time you purchased P8 that content was included and you do not lose the right to use it just because SM agreed to stop including it.
SM may argue that such content was a "free" bonus for buying P8 and they therefore have the right to take it back. But they would lose that argument. The price of P8 is considered to include all content in the installation.

Quote - IIRC, V4 was never included in WW2. We all had to buy the plugin. Alice 3 and GND4 are V4 morphs so all you would need is the V4 plugin.
The V4 plug-in converts non-V4 clothing to fit V4. It will not fit Alice or GND4, which are significantly different body shapes and need their own plug-ins. I would use V4 in the left column in WW2 to convert V4 clothing to fit Alice and GND4 in the right.
I do not already have WW2, I have it as part of P8.

Quote - Poser 8 comes with Wardrobe Wizard II, Imax. You might see this as an excellent opportunity to try out this tool... see how good a job it does.
I'm waiting for WW2 to get Alice 3 and GND4 add-ons, then I will buy those plus the add-on V4 fit (oddly, by far the most popular 3D character is not included, I suppose at CP's instruction). At that point WW2 will be very useful to me. I'm not interested in buying the V4 fit just to convert Alyson's base clothing to Vicky.
But hey, for those who like Alyson and Ryan, this added content is a nice thing. I would have liked to see some new things not related to the G2 figures. The original included props were pretty good, such as the Mini Cooper car.
