I remember downloading a freebie set of lights from somewhere which is specifically designed for checking textures. I can't remember where it was or who it was by and Poser is at home and I'm at work.
Thread: Free Human Female Figure for Poser from Sixus1 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
We need to make sure that Steve Shanks at PoserWorld sees this. He has made some adorable clothes for the Millennium and P4 girls and I'm sure anything he can make for your figure would help support her popularity. Oh, BTW, THANK YOU!!!

Dr. Michael R. Cunningham, University of Louisville (Kentucky, USA) has done considerable sociopyschological research on human beauty and mathematical formulas, etc. both of Americans and of other cultures. I worked with him for two semesters on the cross-cultural part of the research.
Thread: Rate My Shoes? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Steph will be ready for streetwalking ;-) My feet hurt just looking at these. On the serious side, the black stripe down the middle of the bottom shoes should be pink. The actual soles are only the bottom of the heel and the bottom of the toe. The upper of the crossed straps looks loose on the outside of the right foot in the bottom, right-hand picture but nowhere else. Is this due to the pose?

I resize my document to 100x100 and do what Bobbie Boucher does. If you don't need the bump file or transparency effects, you can turn off the camera name and just export the image if you have it in smooth shader view. A word of caution, the .png file must be EXACTLY the same name as the pose, but be careful not to overwrite your pose file.
Thread: ARRRGGGHH did you know this could happen??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had this happen, too, and it really bites. Now, I save multiple versions instead of overwriting so I only lose what I've done during that session. I also usually create the figures and save them to my characters file. Once bitten, twice shy.

Your document size doesn't have to be square. Next time you are in the rendering options submenu, look at the bottom where you have the option to render to window or to a new window. There is a button there which will resize the render size to match your view window.

I almost always render with the Main Camera but I also make sure my to click on the button in the rendering options to make the render size the same as the preview. I've never had this problem.

Thank you for the clarification RHaseltine. I was at work and Poser is at home :-( The male and female Freaks are the other two figures I couldn't remember.

If I remember correctly, the !DAZ folder in question is directly under Runtime in the Poser file hierarchy. It is at the same level as Geometries, Libraries, and Textures. This folder MUST be in the P5 Runtime folder or the injection files (the pose files that often have a nurse's needle in the background of the thumbnail) for the DAZ new figures (V3,M3,S3,and the new male and female muscle-bound folks) to be able to change shape. I discovered this the hard way. I think everything else is okay in a separate runtime folder but I copied the geometry folders over, too.
Thread: Poser mat creation question help needed! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Have you tried selecting both boots in the hierarchy and saving as a new figure? I'm not sure this will work. I know if you conform or parent items to another figure then you can add the figure with everything attached. At the very least, you could conform them to a V3 which is made invisible and save the V3 figure to your character library. I'm sure there's an easier way to do this but as least it's an idea.

So, I downloaded this and there really is a Python script attached. Since this is April 1st, what does the script REALLY do? {I'm at work and Poser is at home :( }

Another tip for copying the morphs from V3 to the clothing--if you open the V3 figure in tbe parameter submenu, select body, left click at the top of the submenu box, hit Ctrl + C (Copy). Select the clothing item, make sure it is on body, and hit Ctrl + V (Paste). This will copy all of the morph dial settings from one to the other. Of course, the morph has to actually be present in both items for it to work ;-)
Thread: mat pose convertor help please | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I love the new beta version of MAT Pose Edit. I discovered something that makes life easier with it. I was making MAT files for Royloo's "The Bed" and having trouble saving my rendered .png files (100x100 pixels). I finally figured out that the original thumbnail picture was "Read Only" so the program couldn't overwrite it. I just changed the properties on all of them and it worked great. It is so nice to not worry about typing in the names--you can just overwrite the existing .png files.
