I got so tired of spending bucks for ink jet cartridges to print pdf manuals; I bought a cheap laser printer for $99 at Staples. I am now inundated with pdf’s I do not have the time to read?!? At least I have them.

Yes! I did what Tiari did. And then got this book, Photoshop 7 Artistry - Mastering the Digital Image, by Barry Haynes, which also had a CD. Web Site, www.barryhaynes.com

Image Processor;
The Image Processor converts and processes multiple files. Unlike the Batch command, the Image Processor lets you process files without first creating an action. You can do any of the following in the Image Processor:
Convert a set of files to either JPEG, PSD, or TIFF format; or convert files simultaneously to all three formats.
Process a set of camera raw files using the same options.
Resize images to fit within specified pixel dimensions.
Embed a color profile or convert a set of files to sRGB and save them as JPEG images for the web.
Include copyright metadata into the converted images.

You might consider the order in which your sections, tables, splitsand images load. Numbered so they load as would the page will give you a quick view without uneven load symmetry. Header1, Table1, Image1, Image2, etc., otherwise you may have images loading out of sequence, which would look a bit tacky.
This is a consideration often overlooked and can slow down load times considerably.

I have used several methods, similar to Tom’s technique. One additional method beyond using Digimarc, is to create an additional logo so small it cannot be found without a magnifying glass. It can be Vertical, Horizontal, Diagonal, or perhaps another arrangement.
I have used a second smaller 1 or 2 point type copyright logo, added to the image at coordinates in pixels I record in a text file for later proof. The color should be very close to the image background, and barely visible at 1200 DPI or larger view.
Image Title: My Image
Image size: 1000 x 1000 pixels
Logo: My Name
Size: Ariel Narrow, 1 point.
Arrangement: Circular
Location. 800 x 900 pixles
You can make this an easier technique by creating an Action within Photoshop. You might change the location from image to image. Remember to do all of this work after the image has been modified, otherwise resizing and compression will destroy the small logo.

YEP! Miracle Monday has come and gone. I think trying to make the software compatible with XP, Vista, 32 and 64 bit has proven a challenge. That said, I would rather wait for a stable retail than get a "monster in the box!"
However,... it would be nice to know something from e-on, to temporarily quell the anticipation.

I am wondering if perhaps your printer is asking for a CMYK separation as *.jpg, rather than a color conversion?
Thread: Best photo printer for $500 or less. Easy way to clean heads on old printer? | Forum: Photoshop
As a giclee printer for many years, no one printer is better than any other. Each has its own special attributes and pitfalls based on how often you print and what you print. A printer should be used at least once a week to keep the noozles open, if not then run a clean cycle. Alignment is a key factor and should be done regularly.
I have used HP, LexMark, Epson, Canon, and many others. Canon is famous for mechanical defects. HP is is outlandishly expensive, and the software quirky. Epson does not like inks that are not designed for its printheads, because a special lubricant is added to the ink and therefore required to keep the noozles open.
Flushing cartridges is a simple but repetative task. The cleaning solution is not alchohol, and can be toxic if taken internally. Alchohol is not recommended for some printers and will damage parts. You should not attempt to manually clean a printhead or you may damage the electrical contacts. If you use the flushing cartridges several times and cannot unclog the heads, then likely they will have to be replaced. Over time ink can harded like concrete.
You can call a service bureau and find out what the cost for maintenance is.
You can look fo another printer. Refurbished are usually half the cost of the original. I have had several and they worked as well as new ones, provided you purchase them from a reputable source.
Look into an older Epson 1280 Printer. It is an update of the 1200, and instead of two cartridges it has many more.

If you look on the content downloads page, Google is scheduling a lot of new content for the near future. As mentioned, you can't export, but you can create some nice BMP's and other bitmap formats, which would look good in PS, AI, or other 2D progs. Maybe even Vue.

bruno021,
Thanks for the FreeRam tip. Now I can see Vue is gobbling up 250 megs everytime I load a vob. Rendering only shows a couple of rams used, so now I know where the problem lies and can recover before another crash.

The Epson 1200 print heads can be flushed with cartridges. I have a large format and use them to clean my Epson heads all of the time. They are not cheap. I will give you a URL so you know what you are looking for, but you might want to shop around for the best prices. The keywords you are looking for are “Flushing Cartridges.”
If you take the printer into a shop, you may get charged upto $600 or $700 to change the printhead. The service shop does not clean them, just replace them. So you have little to lose by trying the flushing cartridges.
If you must consider a small or medium format printer then you might look into the Epson Sylus Pro 3800, for about $1500, which is capable of 17 by 44 inch color printing. Or the more expensive 4800 which is a Professional grade printer with archival inks for about $2400. Street prices vary and you can find better deals if you look long enough.

Lived here all of our lives, in past traveled to the whole North and South American continent, and now my wife can't visit her cousin anymore in Renfrew without the passport.
The bad guys don't need passports, they just walk across the border.
Stupidity comes in big packages.

I have a second drive with Vue content folders and everyting goes in those folders. I have to keep going to them to get the items, but do not have to worry about something getting lost. LIke Peggy I cut a DVD backup from time to time, just in case.
Thread: Picture does not print true to colors on monitor | Forum: Photoshop
Another important factor to consider is the paper you use to print on. Printers are calibrated based on a certain type of ink, paper, color gamut to devices , or profiles, ICM's. Anyone of these can and often do change and that can easily throw off your printout, even if everything else is adjusted and calibrated.
There is no easy solution here when things begin to go bad. It is a matter of trial and error to find out what is causing the problem.
There are a lot of good ducuments on all of these subjects that are found on the web.

Damn I am getting old, DEP not DAT, boy did I screw that up.
Microsoft always puts out an “Upgrade Advisor” before each new OS Release. I have run the Advisor over my Hardware and Software and got the following.
My Promise Fast Track TX2 ATA 133 controller is supported for 32 bit but not 64, and should be replaced if I want to run 64.
My ATI Graphics card is supported along with all of my other hardware.
My Norton will not work.
My Adobe will not work, except CS2.
All of my 3D software will work.
All of my Graphic Editors will work, 6 in all, except PhotoImpact.
The Advisor stated my setup would work with Vista, otherwise. However, a 2 GIG processor, 2 GIG of Ram, SLI Video card, and SATA II drives are recommended if you are to run 64 effectively.
I also found an article that explained 1 GIG of Ram is typically reserved for Vista OS, so if you want your other programs to run you better have plenty of RAM.
Upgrade Advisor is here:
