I?ll put in my 2 cents also. The site is laid out simply and efficiently. If you want a cool looking site with a lot of Fancy frames and things you won?t find it there. What you will find is Tons of good models and textures. I would rather Steve and Rena worked on models and textures than HTML. The site works just fine the way it is. You can see what is there from the free site. Oh and BTW, Merry Christmas.

For what it's worth, the site is actually running much better now than it has in the past. I have also made purchases there and been very happy with them as well.
The port scanning thing bothers me so I hope they figgure that out.

So if I want to buy Poser 4 its like $249 now.
But if I have stolen a copy then I can get it for $129.
So If I just say I stole a copy (but I really didn?t) would I get the same discount or would I have to prove I had stolen it?
This seems awfully weird. Why not give everyone a chance to buy it at the discount and not just thieves.
I would think that people with stolen copies wouldn?t give two cents for a registered copy. True there is that upgrade path but if they stole Poser 4 they will steal Poser 5.

One thing I like is when filing names are consistent with the exception of the extension. For example download a Neat thing and it?s in NeatThing.zip, Thumb is NeatThing.jpg, Readme is NeatThing.txt, Object file is NeatThing.obj, etc.

Will this technique work when the light is moved to other angles, or if camera settings are changed. It?s possible that Poser is making a compromise here and is going with something that works most but not all of the time.

Ok, I know how to save a pose with out the hair information by simply saving the pose from a bald character. But how do you keep facial expressions out when saving a pose? Maybe a special pose to set everything on the face to default before saving the pose?

Well 35 hours versus 5 minutes is a very big difference. I have noticed that setting poser to render at it's maximum size brings out more detail. It does take longer but not 35 hours. I don't think Poser can ever get that "Bryce look" though.
