The Celeron is not a very good CPU for multimedia. 2.5Ghz is a good speed though, so you have that much. However, with only (I assume) 256MB of RAM, with 64MB of it shared by the video subsystem, and again I assume, with on-board video, you are going to have a heck of a time with OpenGL, especially with something as math intensive as Poser. As far as virtual memory, if you are not totally sure of how to manipulate it, you should just let Windows manage it for you. Win does a good job of it anyway. The general rule with virtual memory though is, 2 times the amount of RAM. In your case that would only be about 512MB. Again, I would let Windows just manage it. But increasing your total RAM, and if you have an AGP slot on your motherboard, you may want to consider getting even a lower end graphics card, so you get the seperated RAM and graphics processor, should give you a significant performance boost. (Keep in mind also, the memory leak problem to be fixed by CL in the first update.) Good Luck! [Edited to make some more sense.]

Krissta, You tried to help me out the other day, so here is a return on the favor. This was the first tut I found on using the Cloth Room, and it was pretty good, so you can check it out if you have the time.Thread: Curious Labs - Please Note! ... Multiple UNDO for Poser ... sign up here. ... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I vote a resounding yes, but I also agree that the current 1 undo should work "correctly." By that I mean, why are there times when I can undo, but at other times, I just cannot? On the multiple undo plea though, I don't know about what everyone else thinks, but I think if they even gave us 3, that would be enough to save our tails many times over. I know I have spent many a night thinking, "Argh, if only I could go back 2 actions..." The lack of multiple undos has taught me one valuable lesson though...Save early, save often!
Thread: Thank you PhilC!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well Masak, in all fairness, I just signed up for the newsletter from the download page. This script is more than convincing enough to make me want to see what else PhilC comes up with in the future!

Ah, I just found what you are talking about. I never use the Follicle sets. There is a folder in the P6 Hair directory called SkullCaps. I use the caps from there. They work pretty well for me. By the name, and this is an assumption, a follicle cap would have individual hairs on it. I would think it would be more of a base for creating strands, rather than a true skullcap.
Thread: Art Websites? *slightly OT* | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well Kristta, If you want to stay with free hosting, you are going to have to deal with ads. It's just a give and take sort of thing. However, as far as free goes, I tend to go with Yahoo's Geocities. I feel it is the least obnoxious of the free sites I have tried.

Not really. I attached a link to the Poser/Python forum section. Visit there and look at some of the posts for some links to some sites where you can learn Python as a language. Then from there, you are going to want to take a look at some other people's scripts to get an idea how Python works in Poser. After that, it's pretty much all trial and error.Thread: Hair Room Questions | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Are you using a skull cap first? You need to put on a skull cap then the hair for it to look full. Then you dont need quite so many hairs.
Thread: Dragon Factory from 3D Menagerie | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah I saw that. It says pretty simply that it is no longer available. I was just wondering if anyone had a way to get their hands on it. But thanks for trying Kristta.

Thread: is it just me or jessi looks like brooke burns??? off topic | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nakamuram, Nice pic. I have to admit, I have grown accustomed to using Jessi now, but I am still a bit upset that she is so hard to work with in the Face Room. Plus the upper arl issue, but that's a whole different story.
