The whole reason Daz would put out new figures is to get you to buy the same clothing yet again for the third time.   So naturally it is an absolute dead certainty that the new figures will be unable to wear old clothing, they'd be shooting themselves in the foot to do otherwise.  Also, that's why the new figures will be cheap if not free as well, to guarantee you will switch to them.

the main problem here was there simply are no real facts about Clark, just opinions.  It's almost impossible to prove one way or the other, there's only multiple "coincidences" and accusations.  Only one person truly knows for sure and that's Shahara.  This will never be settled to a certainty, it will simply be forgotten in time

The sad thing is that Clark just plainly isn't a good character and if Anton had just kept this between the mods and out of the public then Clark's interest to most people would already be petering out, it's 15 minutes just about up.

In contrast Apollo being superior in most ways to even Daz's male characters and being recently connected to CL had a very promising and bright future.  Possibly the first realistic non toony character that could hold his own against Daz's figures.

Also he was far more likely to have had Renderosity kick the Clark character from the site if he hadn't put them in such an awkward predicament.  He made it almost impossible for them to do so without causing major discontentment among members, not because of Clark's connection to Apollo but instead because of Anton's behavior towards so many members.

I've never seen anyone self destruct so badly before as Anton here, it was like watching a train wreck in slow motion with everyone who supported him unable to stop what he was doing to himself. It was a sad sight to behold.

Personally if I was Anton, I'd open a little store myself, sell my wares myself and if people want to buy them that's fine, if they don't that's fine too.  I'd stay away from Renderosity or the other Poser community sites and just try and get some enjoyment from doing what he does best... creating great things.

Well, that's truely ashame Anton.  I will miss Apollo, and you... for a couple hours anyway then I'll move on.  You've taken a really good thing and needlessly killed it for no real valid reason at all.

And by quitting like this all you've done is hurt yourself, no one else.  May I suggest you get some councelling and maybe some anger management therapy, then once you've cooled off try rethinking your decision.  Life's simply too short for this crap to destroy your work over.

Apollo is the best male character I've seen to date and I hope he resurfaces and is supported.  Anton may or may not have been right about Clark, there certainly were large coincidences but the only person who knows for sure is the person who made him.  Everyone else is just guessing or expressing an opinion and that is all. 
Anton by going public the way he did definitely did not handle this the right way however but not being perfect myself and having handled certain things in the wrong way before myself, I'm certainly willing to cut the guy a break.

A persons preference for the most part will probably be based on which program he/she has gotten used to first.  Most D|S users will tend to be new to this field, older more experienced users will probably stick with Poser for the forseeable future. 

Of course if Poser 7 is just another update of old code and doesn't "modernise" Poser that could change in a big hurry.

I've had the same thing happen at various times using P5. Not only with bump maps but also with reflection maps and even with the texture as well. When I'd go into the material room and use the eye dropper the missing element would reappear and render fine. I've not figured out why it would happen, it's just something irritable I've learned to live with.
