Thread: A really strange question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I was partially kidding. The thought of him pushing up out of the back of his pants like some of the improbably enhanced Posettes push up out of their blouses made me laugh. Actually, there is a magnet set at Traveler's site for enhancing cleavage by expanding Posette's clothing to fit her morph-dial-set-to-maximum breasts. You can use a similar technique on the man's backside, using two magnets to pull the back of his trousers out and away and increasing the Zscale of his hip to enhance his gluteous maximus.

I use Cinema4D on the Mac too. There are demo versions available at www.maxon.net, and there is a discussion group at www.postforum.com.
Thread: New Figure creation problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks everyone, adding all polygons before spawning props was the problem. I'm not even sure why I thought I had to do that. The mandroid is coming along nicely now, setting joint parameters and so forth.

You might also check the Freestuff for a contribution from momodot called "Moist Eyes". It is a smart prop which will parent to the P4 Fem's eye, and give it a specular sheen. The prop was easy to modify for use with the P4 Male. Momodot's props are also useful if you have an existing character created, where substituting in a new figure is not an option.

I agree with Ghostofmacbeth, the sword looks like one LordsWarrior made. I really like the blotches on his neck. They make him look like a real human being who spends most of his days on deck baking in the glaring sun, with long periods of routine work punctuated by the occasional fight for his life in a boarding action. You can't do all that and keep perfect skin too.

Personally, I like them in directories too, even though I drag them individually like Chailynne. Having a directory structure in the Zip file shows me where thigns are supposed to go. I use a Macintosh. As far as cross platform issues go, please package the files in some sort of standard format (Zip is best as it is widely supported). A few of the FreeStuff submissions I've downloaded have been self-extracting .exe files, which not only pose a problem for Macs they force everyone else to hope that they're not about to infect their PC with a virus by running it. MartinC's MacConverter is so incredibly fantastic that I never worry about getting items converted over from the PC Poser formats now. For image formats, I think jpg on a high quality setting is best. TIFF files tend to be larger (albeit without any compression loss), and bmp is aweful.
Thread: Royal Purple Dragon Texture--Finished! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
He looks great! The sides of his face and his underbelly have a realistic (albeit purple) leathery texture, while the sides of his neck look more like scaly ridges. His horns look slightly pitted from age and wear, as do his teeth. His tongue looks good too (no visible banding, looks realistic).

Thread: Tech Chalenge... Nostrals | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I generally select all of the polygons inside the nostril with the grouping tool, assign a new material to them, and darken the material significantly from the regular skin tone. A close up shot looking up into the nostril still doesn't look right, but from most other angles it looks fine.
