When you add to library, is the figure in your scene being corrupted, or is it the image in the library that is becoming strange? Can you bring back a figure once you've saved it, or is it all distorted/pieces missing when you bring it in from the library? It's unusual for an RSR file to fail on creation (although I've had one or two become corrupt after I've used them a couple of times). Try saving a figure into your library, then immediately go into the directory and change the properties of the RSR to "read only". Then try bringing the figure back into Poser in a new scene. If it comes in OK, then there is something corrupting the files while they are on your HDD (although I'm not sure what). If the figure is still corrupt when you bring it back in, there is something wrong with Poser. The best bet there would be to re-install in case something got corrupted when you originally installed Poser. Hope this helps Paul
Thread: Poser 4 animation in Bryce 4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
::sharp intake of breath:: It can be done, but it isn't the easiest thing in the world to do. What you would have to do is export each frame of your Poser animation as an OBJ file. These would then have to be imported into Bryce and placed into each key-frame, positioned and textured. You would have to move each and every object into and out of frame for each and every frame. (Now that would be hard work). Paul

It's not a lot of extra work to create transparency channels in MAX and, as I said, once you've done 1 or 2 it is really easy and intuitive. I'm not sure about using bones (I assume you're going for something like BonesPro?) as I've never rejigged a figure in MAX. MaximumPoser handles all of the morphing information. You just create your animations as usual inside Poser and then import them into MAX using Konan's Max/Poser plugin. The whole point of the plugin is that you can use the "simpler" Poser interface and tools to create your animation, and then use the power of MAX to create the actual end animation. Character Studio was (IMHO) a major disappointment. The figures are very low-res, although I suppose you could use Poser figures in their place (again, not something I've tried). Paul

Bryce is good, and deals with Poser textures and transparencies very well. However, you will not be able to animate you poser figures in Bryce without a hell of a lot of work. I'm certain that Poser figures will work in MAYA or Softimage, but I have no idea if they can be animated, or how easy that is. MAX can import Poser figures easily (if you use the HABware plugins from the free stuff pages) and handles texture maps easily. Transparency maps are a little harder, but not too difficult to grasp once you've done a couple. And Konan's MaximumPoser plugin makes animation of Poser figures withinj MAX simple, quick, and easy. I don't know if you could get a "flash-light beam" (a la X-files) in Poser. You might have to render this in something like Bryce or MAX to achieve that effect. Paul

That's true Huolong, as far as I know the onlt s/ware which converts MAX files is 3D Studio MAX. But, if you want vehicles converted to OBJ files so you can work on them, let me know which ones as I've d/loaded quite a few from that site. Paul
