I have a small Wacom Graphire, my first tablet. I read somewhere to go small and see how you like it, how you use it, how often you use it. This way you're not out of a lot of $$ when you discover the smallest is perfect for what you need. I've had my Graphire for 3 years now, maybe  a little more. I'm just now thinking about upgrading to a slightly bigger one. Since getting Vista, it's doing weird things such as working in close up mode, the thing constantly wants to bring up the brush size menu. I didn't have a single problem with it in XP.

Right about the mouse. Mine came with one and I never used it.

As Pjz99 stated, look at your desk and see how you would use it, how much space you have. One thing to keep in mind too, do you have children and animals like cats. Slightest scratch on the cover can really mess things up. So you'll want to keep in a safe place for it when not in use, which could also factor in what size you want to get :) 

This has been a pet peeve of mine as well. I've noticed a lot of hair/clothing promos just showing the front of the product. I think there should be 3 base images, front-side-back and then they can get artsy with the rest. I agree on those side images. Also the promos where they seem to be advertising one item but showcasing another. Such as I've seen some hair texture promos where the models appearance distracts from the reason behind the promo. Granted, they're trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone pretty much.

I don't have Pro just P6 and I posted on the forums over a year ago about the same issue. the eyelashes appeared clumpy or sparse or like blurred dots. I was told to use settings of...

Min shade rate 0.2
Pixel Samples to 5
Max Texture size from 1k-4k
Then reload textures after changing the setting and then render.

That did help for me. Now that's with P6, I'm sure those settings are the same with each edition?

I had nothing but problems with Poser when I installed it to the Program 86 folder in Vista. I couldn't find the installed items I would add later like clothing etc, it was like Vista reorganized everything to its liking and not mine. So lots of people have suggest to install Poser directly to the C: and I haven't had any problem, except for the occassional funny stuff that I mentioned above.

I've noticed my preview screen does that from time to time. I'm on Vista 64 bit. Maybe it's after a recent MS patch or something? My version of P6 seems to recently get the case of "I'm going to zoom out...no I'm gonna zoom in...no I'm gonna zoom out" I get that on a regular basis now too. That's usually after I've added something like a clothing item or pose. Or I'll get the change the pose and the figure moves but everything else that's been conformed, stays in the old pose. Then it's like "Oh we've moved!" and they snap back to where the new figure is. Some times I have to change camera angle for the items to catch up. Just little weird things.

P8 Sounds like a plan to me, which was my first choice but when I went to purchase it, I couldn't understand why they were still offering Pro for like 10-20 dollars more than P8, which made me post. :) 

I don't think it would be Poser if it were bug free. I think all Poser users are used to the new editions having issues in the beginning and problems showing up every so often later on. In all honesty, I think the Poser community beta tests the program for SM...So the reports of people saying P8 crashes...tech that's old news. Poser has been crashing on take off since at least P5 and as usual, after a few patches...it's working.

I was looking at the PMD file. I am starting to think thats corrupted. I think it might have had something to do with when I tried DAZ studio3 and you could import your runtime folder and it's possible that something happened there. So I might need to reinstall everything or just the core figures.

I did a test, took V4 out on her own saved her and then did the same with another V4, loaded her up with the usual morphs I've used before and not had problems but I couldn't even get the basic V4 to load in after I closed the program and opened it again. Seems like what I have is getting worse, so it is starting to sound like I'm going to need to uninstall Poser....again...and start from scratch. bangs head on table a few times By installing and uninstalling several times does that have anything to do with this? I'm half tempted to see if my other computer can load in the saved files. Or would that start something on that one?

I was so excited to finally get a new computer...now I'm ready to punt kick it out the front door.

ok, i got one open. 1/4 of it I can read. Then the last 3/4 of it is nothing but a bunch of symbols and stuff. Nothing legible. Looking at it closely there are quite a few symbols scattered through it and it gets worse as you go down. Nothing reads clearly. I'm using Notepad to look at the file. Did a search for screenPlace and nothing came up.
