How does one activate or use the "outside the World Sphere view"--I am using Vue6 esprit I could find nothing in the menus to do this.

I downloaded the program, extracted it to a folder, ran the exe, get an error message about it not recognizing my display hardware, and then nothing. Does ithe program need to be extracted to a certain folder? I checked all the files with my antivirus and anti spy-and they came up clean.

I had to split the images, because otherwise, I'd have to reduce and compress them too much as a single image.

After taking a break to run errands, I came back, and played a bit more. I think I have something I can use now. Thanks everyone for all the help. I ended up using standard mapping, not the spherical, along with some other tweaks.

I gave it a try with the sawteeth, but once I rotate the second set, I get weirdness, as shown in the attached pic. Also is a render of a sphere surrounded by Mighty Pete's Shape #1494, which is what I'm trying to get close to. The mesh is great, but I would like to have one with denser triangles. Thanks, joechip, for the link, but as you can see, I'm looking for something with a surface made up of triangles, and I want the structure of the dome --the struts.
