You guys are the greatest! I've had the poser manual with me all day, - and I couldn't find these REALLY logical solutions!! Little Dragon... I played with the figure, - got the first and the last frame, and "cheated" and lifted them off of the floor, - and made them start so that they actually "hit the floor" g when htey're dancing, or whatever. I guess that's a "cheap solution" that will haunt me furtner down the road... Right? :) No, and by the animation window I mean that BIG screen that fills your monitor, covers your figure, and where you can set keyframes etc. I think the headline in the Poser manual says "Advanced editing" Uh... and I couldn't even find the button to turn that window off... I had to shut down poser, and re-open it shameful look... OK... so I'm taking some shortcuts g I wanted to use the RDNA cove. I've used that for a lot of stills. :) and kbade answered my question! I think YAY! THanks! I have found a way to convert the files to the flash format, which is what I want, - so I guess that's a matter of finding out where to add backgrounds the best way, no? wipe You're my hero (along with geep) from now on... YAY I didn't even thing that there was a drop down there!!! Arghhh! lol THANK YOU! See, - that simple is a newbies problems. :) uh... and see my above remark. :) That's what I did, - and I did get the figure "grounded". But I thought that was "cheating" :) and I AM on Poser 4. and I'm reluctant of buying Pro-pack till I see when (IF) Poser 5 ever comes out. geep That graph function looks scary!, - and will I be able to close that window? lol I'm so new at this animation stuff, - but I have a client who says he NEEDS it, - and I'm just so proud of myself that I've been able to get the Poser animated AVI's out in Flash format :) Uh... where's the best way to start with those scary Animation windows in Poser??? Any good tut's out there? Britt

Thank you, Sue! The eye morphs are the couple I need to re-do, I think. Getting them closer is absolutely worth a try. :)

It's a morph of the P4 infant, Sharen. I've just tweaked the head mesh, - and saved them back as .obj files. A very tedious - but fun job when I got the hang of it. :) I'm not planning to sell him/her/it. lol (darn... I guess the bugger should have a name) If any, I'll put it in free stuff. But I'm not sure he/she/it is good enough yet. Britt

Can you split it into two groups in UV mapper (you're a PRO now, you know! g), and then use the group tool in Poser, - assign materieals to each group.. That might work. Britt
Thread: Whats gone wrong? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
could it be in-side-out? Or, it might be that it's "one-sided" (happened to me, - and the facets did show). Britt

lol don't ask me... I didn't do any "fine work". Just posed her. I was mostly interested in the light/water/reflection/colors and transparency.... In no prefered order. and yup... the texture is one of my photos, - mapped to the cove, - with a bump map :) Britt handing geep a warm blanket There... ;)

Ai!!! Button 1) Quick links to tutorials... subsections: a) BASIC interface of Poser and a Poser "dictionary". So many new terms... There are still terms I don't understand the meaning of. But as a newbie, - I pulled my hair over a lot of stuff... IK Chains Morph target. Spawn morps (remember a lot of the users have English as second language... I had to look up a lot of terms in the "normal" dictionary, - simply because Poser is a very different piece of software) button b) Poser render of the week (with previous weeks listed) I think this would be a good place to have renders that are "pure poser" renders. little post work ... etc. button c) Tips 'n Tricks (time savers, - neat short cuts for great effects) etc. Hmm.... I'm sure I can come up with a button D and E lol But what I do think is that the backroom should really put the poser technique in the center :) OK... that was my .02 Norwegian Kroner. :) Britt

I'm easy! lol I want the P4 BOY (not the dork) to look decent. (same with the baby and the girl) I realize that I have to continue what I started today, - take my instruction manual and read about morphs, - sigh But there is so much to learn! :) Britt
