You probably need a utility that will defrag your RAM on the fly. Lots out there, some are free.
Thread: Please don't paint over Daz Vicki maps. Example | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What a terrible thing. Rip-off artists, DAZ, being ripped off. I won't be able to sleep tonight, I'm so upset over this.

Very bad tutorial. He doesn't know what he's talking about and, to prove my point, doesn't include any of his FaceRoom efforts in the tute. The simple answer is you have to do some postwork. Sample the color on your skin texture then open up your new face room texture and adjust the color mapping until they match.

Daz Studio-comes from Daz, so it won't be affordable. P4-Has the setup room. P5-has the setup room, face room, cloth room, much improved rendering. Hair room isn't great. Overall, it's the best value. For character work you won't need another app.

You can get clothes set that conform to one figure conform to a different one by scaling and adjusting the joint parameters to match the P5 figure. Then save as the P5 version.

They smear because of the pixel blending the Face Room does, not the size of the texture. You're better off using a 512X512 texture at 150ppi than using a 1024x1024 texture at 72ppi. As I stated before, you need to do postwork. One of the more effective things to do in post work: Patch over the eye brows from the original photo, which should be 150ppi or more. :O)
Thread: When biasness matters more than art?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"Comments really should be about the quality and technique of the art, not about the subject matter." Why? This comment is as narrow-minded as the one that was made on the pic. Interesting subject matter can overcome a lot of technical flaws and what's the point of work that covers the same old ground no matter how technically perfect it is?

I disagree with Tony on one point. The 512X512 size is irrelevant because they come out at 150ppi, high quality. It's also a good idea to use 150ppi+ photos as your base.

Trolling is one thing to get annoyed with, but a negative comment? So what? If it bothers you that much, don't enable comments. Or perhaps just tell people to only leave positive comments in the notes section.

I agree with you and it's something you can compensate for. Depends on what your goals are. Are you unhappy with the morph, the texture or both? Suggestions: Keep the splines for the outside of the head very tight when generating the texture. This will avoid dark streaking in the texture. Lighten the texture some in the texture variations area. They do tend to generate dark. Get the texture applied first and then work on the head morph, making that outer spline the shape of the skull. Don't think you won't have to do postwork on the texture.

http://pablosbrain.lunneberg.com/blender3d/files/blender-creator-2.23-windows.zip Screwed up. There are lots of Blender versions. More recent ones are tweaks involving the realtime engine. This is the most recent version I have confidence in. You also need the full python 2.0.1 and a script to make .obj import/export work. I can get that to you. Get the 2.0 Blender Guide, you'll need it. Happy Blendering.
