Thanks for the response. The reason I asked was I'm trying to make very narrow upright "rails" and someone suggested I use primitives. I've been using the boolean objects for things similar to what I'm trying to do.I'm pretty new to Bryce and want to learn as much as I can now that I finally got the idea of 3D. If anyone here remembers, I was the one who was brain dead with Bryce!

I did change the lighting to white. Also made each piece/part white. Is that what you mean? Still renders tan.

Where can I find more information about primatives? I have Bryce 3. Is it in the manual(which has turned out to be a foreign language to me)?

Thanks Tempest and Diane. Will try it. I tried copy and paste and the image distorted. Thanks again

I was told I could save an object for use later on.Say supposing I had 2 documents each with 2 different things and wanted to combine them. How else would I do it.

It's not you personally. I have so many tutes printed up and am trying everything. But what gets me really mad is that the Poser manual says one thing that sounds so simple and that's a darn lie. I've followed their instructions to a t with no results. The Bryce manual sucks too and they are also Metacreations. Every bit of info is from the net and everyone has a different way of doing it. I'm one who is self taught by reading. In my younger days I've taught myself to paint in various media including etching and became proficient enough to support me and my 5 kids so I know I'm not a dummy unless old age is causing me a mental block. However in my later years I taught myself how to quilt and now teach the procedure. Have had my work all over the world and have a book coming out about it. I've also taught myself how to design a web page. I cannot understand why this prog brings me to the point of utter stupidity. I can manipulate Poser fairly well but Bryce? It just does not come to me so back to the tutes. Maybe something someday will click.

To tell you the truth, I don't even know now what I did now. I'm following so many instructions so many different ways, I think I have to leave this thing alone for a while. One group of instructions tell me to go to the bottom of the screen and pick up meshes. Another tells me to keep my mouse on the object to deselect while I have the control key down, I'm getting too confused. I hated Bryce when I 1st got it and was just starting to recover and try again. I just don't get this @#!%$*& thing. So thanks guys for trying. I'm just a lost cause in regards to Bryce!

Yeh, I got so desperate I started clicking everything. Check out my newest image. I have the textures but had to use the poser3 nude in the program. Just have to figure out how to do hair.

Thanks for the offer but I don't have ICQ. I did find out that poser3 model in Poser 4 gets the texture fine. The colors are washed out but at least they are there. Now have to figure out how to do the hair color. Look for the newest pics here.

I did that already and it still didn't work. Did find out though textures work on Poser3 models.

I'll try those Diane. But something curious. I tried using the textures from Bryce and it works in every instance. Will post one on a new message.

I've been following your tute. Rotated on the x and still no improv.Even tried a figure with no hair and no clothes.Tried grouping, ungrouping and still comes out mottled. Double checked the texture and I have it as P4 woman texture. Even tried all the other textures. I have the patch in Poser. Is it because Poser4 is incompatible with Bryce3. Would it make a diff if I used a poser 3 model? Frankly I'm stumped.

I thought the figure was ungrouped. Why else would everything fall in a heap when I used the down arrow.
