Quote - Ok, this is weird, but those whose P7 serial numbers that don't seem to be working, have you tried ticking the "save this serial number with my account" box? You may already have saved it at a previous time ( I certainly had), but my P7 serial number refused to work until I ticked the box.
Strange, but true
Â
Yeah, I actually did that right away. Now I'm wondering if that is part of my problem...
Thread: Can P7 Render in a Separate Window? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I was given advice from a person at e-F to use 64 for the bucket size in the Render Settings. So far, it's worked like a charm.
I also render to its own process, but I have a dual core. I don't know how a Celeron would handle the same setup.
Angelouscuitry, how much RAM do you have? If you're dealing with a small amount, (anything less than 2GB at this point,) then maybe that is part of the problem?
Also, what else are you running simultaneously? I've noticed that AOL Instant Messenger hates Poser and Photoshop. I've also had problems when I run multiple instances of IE7 with multiple tabs open in each.
My best advice is to have as little running in the background when doing hardcore renders as possible. Try to dedicate as much RAM to your Poser instance as possible. Poser does so much work during a render that you want as little being swapped back and forth to hard disk as possible.

Quote - where do we install all this stuff? I understand the sydney update goes into P7 but what about the jessi G2 files?
Â
I would assume you could just install it into the P6 folder within the P7 install. Or, you could probably also install into the P6 install if you've linked your Runtimes. (Then again, I still don't have the file, so what do I know? ) Â
Strangely, my tickets still aren't appearing. Do they not appear until they are responded to? I'm sure this will all work out in the end, it's just really weird.

Quote - The product description says:
The update requires a Poser 7 serial number.Â
There is no place for me to choose passport member. When I try to put it in the cart I am asked to enter a P7 serial.  In case I wasn't clear this is the product I'm not able to get.

destro75, yes it is nice to know I'm not alone :) But let's hope we both get this resloved, it's the first time a serial is being rejected in my case.  Was I supposed to have registered P7 with E-frontier? Because I haven't yet.
Â
Well, I registered on the e-F site, and then saved my serial in CP's site as well. And I still can't get to it. We're having problems with different products you and I though.
I can't get the Jessi G2 download. The one you're trying to get I did. (That was after I registered on e-F's site though, so maybe you should try that.)

Quote - If you are a Passport member, and you select "Not a Poser Owner" You should also be able to check out the product for free without entering your serial number. My apologies for the inconvenience for the few others, Support will get back to you as soon as they can.

Thanks for the response!
My situation is the opposite of what you described though. I am not a passport member, but I am a Poser owner. From what I understand, this is still eligible for the Jessi G2 model. Maybe I'm misunderstanding?
Anyway, I guess I should just wait for a response from support. Thanks again for the post.

Quote - My P7 serial is being rejected so I can't get the G2 character update, posted in the support forum at CP and opened a ticket - sigh just once I'd like to have things go smoothly.
Â
At least you aren't alone! (And now, neither am I.)
Sorry to hear you're having trouble as well.
Check your ticket though. For some reason, even though I submitted two different tickets tonight, neither is showing up for me on the tracking screen.
It's just one of those nights I guess.

Quote - This has happened to me numerous times, so I ask and am not trying to insult your intelligence.
Are you sure you're logged in to your account? IE7 kicks my account closed alot these days and I have to relog to almost every site I have set up to remember me at.
Â
No insult taken at all. I'm 99% sure I'm logged in. My name is in the upper left, and it shows the other items in my cart correctly. (All I have in there are the updates which all say they are free. It's just the G2 Jessi that is giving me a cost.)
Thanks for the response though. Every idea is appreciated!

Quote - @ destro75, I had no problems downloading her, but I had to give my P7serial number.
Â
Thanks for the reply.
I don't get it. My serial number is saved on the site. I picked the option that said I am a Poser 6/7 owner, and yet I am still showing she is $19.99.
ARGH!
Thread: JessiG2 is here | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Getting a little stressed out here. Is she free for Poser 6/7 users or not? I keep trying to put her in my cart, and it keeps demanding $19.99 from me. I have P6 and P7, and my serial for P7 is saved on CP.
Anyone else having a problem? It clearly says everywhere that she is free for P6 or 7 owners.
Thread: Underused Poser figure #4 - Jessi | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Jessi is now my 4th favorite figure, but she was higher when P6 was released.
#1: V4 (I really like this figure the more I play with her.)
#2: V3 (She's got so much available in the way of textures and clothing, she's the most versatile of all models.)
#3: Judy (Yes, Judy. As much as people seem to hate her, you can do some really nice things with her, with a little effort and patience.)
#4: Jessi (With the face room, her face can be made ultra sexy. Some of her body parts are a bit messed up, such as ugly shoulders, and upper arms that are just not long enough, but nothing you cannot "fix-up" with a little dial tweaking.)
Previous to getting V3 about 7 or 8 months ago, Judy was #1, with Jessi at #2. I don't even look at older figures like Posette at this point.
Thread: Creating bioluminescence with P6 shader nodes? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - I got the ball and box to work ok, and the ball and floor but I just can't get the gather node to work on a model. Something I'm not doing right, I'm sure, but I'll keep playing with it.
I, also, can't get it to work at all in P7.Â
Â
I actually had it working in P7. I got Nybras to give off an aura that looked pretty cool.
Maybe if you post a pic of your shader tree someone can help you out?
Thread: Virtual Fashion | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have VF. I tried it for the first couple days I had it, then put it down, and have yet to return. I don't know where the issue lies, but it just does not feel intuitive enough for me, and the results I've been able to achieve are poor at best.
I've been working on a few other things lately, so I haven't had the time to return to it, but I have been thinking about giving it another try soon. If I can't achieve the sort of results I'm looking for, that will be the last time I try it.

Thread: Poser 7 revealed or Practical Poser 7? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I didn't realize Deecey had written a new one! I gotta get my hands on it!
The Poser 6 one was fantastic. I learned a lot from that book.
Sorry to hear about your mother Deecey. I know the loss of a parent, and it's never easy. Kudos to you for pouring your love for her into the book, it can only serve to have improved on what was already a great work.
