Okay, figured out what I was doing wrong. The distribution of the 2 textures mapping setting should have been set to faces. For some reason it mattered to a .3ds object.
Thread: texture difficulties | Forum: Vue
thanks, the object is one piece. I was just trying to see what the texture would look like on a rounded corner. I've tried .3ds files before and hadn't had this problem. The .3ds file probably got corrupted when I was writing it. Who knows.

I'm kinda interested too in seeing where Poser started I believe the old poser figures are in Poser 5, you just need to look for them. If you want to see what the old interfaces looked like, I'm sure somebody can make a screen shot that could ease your curiosity if they still have it on their computer.

Thread: Rendercow question. | Forum: Vue
I had the latest updates installed. Thanks for your help guys, but I'm starting to believe that the file is somehow corrupted. Other animations work out fine. I'll just have to see if I can rework the scene.
Thread: Rendercow question. | Forum: Vue
Right now I'm linking 3 P3's with at least 1gh per machine. I'm hopeing to link at least 2 other machines later, but I wanted to work out the bugs on the first ones. It might be because I'm running win95 and the others are win2000. The cow did work on an animation that wasn't as complicated.

"a rose by any other name". . . I'm just thinking it would be easier to download a 5 mb fix instead of a redundant 20+ mb fix. But that's just me.

You would think by beta 6 that they would just call it Service Release 2 and go to SR3 beta . . . . That way maybe the next service release would be a little smaller for download, since we are downloading a good portion of the same information from beta 5,4,3,2,1. Just my 2 cents.
