Looks like the reflection is good from outside. Is your glass pane a single sided plane, or a very thin box? I would suggest you use a very thin box, then apply Ajax's glass materials which will actually reflect and refract nicely in Poser 5. Shogakusha

I think that Randym77 has it correct. By giving away the Base characters, they will generate far more sales of morph and texture packs, plus open the market for more modelers making clothes and the like since they will not have to PAY for Michael in order to attempt to make money making clothes for Michael. It is in keeping with their approach to Daz Studio. Shogakusha

Helgard, Check around in free stuff. I seem to recall that Oakham created a displacement python script that would do what you need. I recall the example was a canoe in the water, and the water surface was depressed below the canoe so as not to fill it. Good luck! ShogakushaThread: Some Help or Advice? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

She does come with a UVS map so that she can take Vicky 3 skins, and there are plenty of high quality V3 skins for free.I have a free dress in my Free Stuff here, and I am considering making another outfit or two in the near future.

I have gone into my archive and pulled the ReadMe from the Jin Roh armour in question. I append the text in entirety here: POSER4---Original Character---<[Jin rou] Special Armor Force Protect-gear > ============================================================ The character of "Protect gear" is copyrighted 2001 by Taruru. All Rights Reserved. This may be used only in your non commercial, personal artwork. *** A method commentary to use *** 1.Thaw this zip file. 2.Put it on the fixed position with keeping the directory structure of the file group that it was thawed. Wherever it is put, it doesn't care about this Pz3 file. 3.Start Poser4, and call Pz3file. 4.Open the pose of the library, and register the pose of the initial condition as a default pose. *** Attention in use *** 1.Though a head is locked under the initial condition, this is a thing by the specifications of the mask and the air pipe. Move it on every the neck when you want to move a head. And, do an angle to move by 10 times. It is disgraceful if it doesn't go. 2.The armor (shoulder_armor_L shoulder_pad_L, shoulder_armor_R shoulder_pad_R) of the shoulder is to adjust it to the option with the dial and so on when you interfere when you do raising and lowering of the arm. *** Supplement *** This character is the thing which should be called a beta-version. It is waiting for the opinion of first of all introducing it to the public and let's ask an opinion and sensation and the advice. Moreover, it is waiting for contribution as well to say, texture was made and a neat pose collection was made. Don't bully it very much because it is the first character production... Taruru mk_taruru@hotmail.com http://www.jet.ne.jp/~m-jacky/index.html Animation movie [Jin rou] copyright 1999. mamoru oshii Bandai-visual/Production-I.G Here then is the key statement, "The character of "Protect gear" is copyrighted 2001 by Taruru. All Rights Reserved. This may be used only in your non commercial, personal artwork." I take that to mean Taruru-san intended to keep control over his artwork. Taruru-san, like many of the Japanese masters was a craftsman of great generosity. However, sadly many of them have been taken advantage of, and have removed there offerings to the detriment of all. To show how serious Taruru-san was about copyright, you will note that at the end of his readme he gives credit to Mamoru Oshii and his studio for the creation of the original concept and design of the Jin Roh armor. I am sorry Sarte that I cannot help to facilitate your obtaining the Jin Roh armor. I cannot help you to contact the holder of the copyright on this or any other of Taruru-san's artwork. He is beyond us now. I would suggest to all that his former site will not always be there. Someone is being generous and maintaining his site (probably in honor of him) so that his work might still be enjoyed. As with all good things in Poserdom, it will not last. Be thankful for what you have. Take waht is freely offered and thank those who offer it. There is nothing that says that they must. Sarte- there are many good, generous and helpful people here. Ask nicely and you will be amazed what they WILL do for you. Behave as if you are owed something from this community, and see how fast it gets cold, dark and lonely. I have been far too long winded here, and will not post to this thread again.

I rarely get into these furballs, but I feel a need to comment. Take it for what you will. 1- There are still SOME freebies up at the link you posted. That site has been modified since Taruru-san's death. That implies that someone has taken the time to think about what was to be offered, and make that offering a reality. Taruru-san's site is not simply derelict, it was updated. 2- You might try locating some of the Japanese members, many speak excellent English, and are quite helpful IF you approach them in a respectful manner. Good luck.

Thread: What could be causing this...? (dynamic simulation issue) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have had this before, and never solved it. THough on later thought, it occurs to me that it is likely a problem with too many alterations to your original cloth setup causing POser confusion. You might try locating the .dyn file and deleting just it, then retrying your simulation as opposed to going through the whole save delete process? Of course, you may wish to save your scene as a pz3 the first time you try this }-) Good luck! Shogakusha

Sorry, you are correct aeilkema. You will only benefit if they join PC Club. I apologize for the miscommunication. THe point I was getting across was that the original poster looking to get a bunch of R'osity members to click on his/her link was likely hoping for a windfall from people they didn't even know. That isn't strictly a bad thing, but folks here might like to have some idea of what they are doing by clicking. I was really tryin to encourage folks to go and read rather than just click that link blindly.

Actually, it is announced over there on the Daz site, and while going to Daz will not get you signed up, reading what Daz says about their promotion will help you understand and choose wisely. The person whos link you click does benefit directly from your click. I read and chose to participate, however, I also thought about who I wanted to benefit from my participation.
