What kind of armor did you have in mind? Real armor, like functional plate or chain? Or something for sex-related pics? I'm down with the former, but don't care for sexual pictures much.

(laughs!) Aye, those were made with a torus and cylinder boolean combination. Too RAM intensive, for the amount of chains I need. I suppose I'm just too damn picky, on this scene. Robert Jordan may be the best writer, ever. I just want to do him justice! I've got my chain link from Rhino into Maya, now. Which is stupid. Maya and Rhino model almost identically, I should have just made it in Maya to start with. And I'm running the dynamics on both gravity and collision... should be done in a bit...

No, no... I suppose that I should have specified. I have no problem at all modeling chain links, or positioning them by hand. That's easy for me. What I'm looking for is a dynamic way to make the chains realistic. Keywords : gravity, collision detection. I guess I'll just dive into Maya and see what happens...

Hmm... I don't use Wings, I use Whino. (elitism!) But neither Wings NOR Whino use anything remotely like collision detection, much less gravity. Perhaps I'll just take this question to the Maya forum, but there's not many users that stop by there... Mostly, I was wondering if anyone knew how to do it in KnotPlot, or if there was a free app anyone knew about to do such a thing?

Bryce has a powerful user interface. If you use Carrara, and can get anywhere on it, prepare to be blown away by Bryce's simplicity and the power, and SLOWNESS, of it's Ray-Tracer... You'll find yourself rendering in Bryce, neither Carrara NOR Poser let you set up a scene as easily and fluidly as Bryce does. Although Carrara has a more powerful rendering engine... Poser, on the other hand, is a pale shadow for composition and rendering when compared to Bryce. You'll find yourself using Poser for exporting characters, and that's about it. The program is unstable and the controls and libraries are just plain ridiculous. Now, you might say, "That's YOUR opinion!" Well, of course it's my opinion! You'll know for fact that it's my opinion, because I typed it all!

Aye, but Bryce trees can't bend... Alas... I think I'm gonna try to model a tree in Rhino, see how it goes...

Hmm, to do serious damage it would have to be a Gamma-Ray laser... Don't know the frequencies, though! Gamma-Ray lasers actually exist, and cause more damage to a wider area than any Nuke. The Cold War was just the beginning... "SOL. We'll use SOL." (Akira)

Aye, Drawbridgep, I called for such an action just before being reincarnated as Lordstormdragon... Tread carefully.
