By the way- if you are an old movie fan like I am (or actually any movie up to at least 1999,) check out WWW.Allmovie.com. It is a terrific on-line reference. I use it all the time, and you can search by Movie, Actor, or key-words. I almost always find what I am looking for, no matter how off-the-wall the movie might have been. They seem to have them all.

Koz- Actually it was made in 1953. I know because I checked a movie reference, and also because I was a little kid when it first appeared- scaring the hell out of me. I remembered it as the "Man with White Eyes" because that's what happened when he turned on the x-rays looking at people. But they may have been black, as you remembered them too. I was so scared at the time I could barely watch any of it (I was I think about 5 years old.)I have never seen it since then, but Ray Milland was the star and it has since become a Four Star Cult Movie Classic of Roger Corman's. I saw it at a U.S. Air Force SAC/MAC base near Sacramento, Ca. back when they still had B-29 bombers- I was a military dependent. (It was a B-29 that dropped the bomb on Japan. And that spun off all the interest in sci-fi movies about nuclear mutations, X-Rays and the very first Alien UFO sightings)

You guys must have seen a different movie than I did. Remember the Alien character on the spaceship where Tim Allen and friends are taken? He has a Darth Vader-like voice. His henchmen also looked just like him. They also tortured the good Alien's leader. Those guys were all modeled after the "Creature".(You guys remember that don't you? I stopped taken drugs in the 70's so while my mind ain't that good, I can remember most things- but then again I could be going nuts also.) As an example of how I may be losing it (and another, and more easier character for you guys to create) is: "The Man With X-Ray Eyes" I remember seeing this movie as a kid in 1954 (shows you how old I am) and remembered it as "The Man With White Eyes". However Koz pointed out it was the former name. It was a Roger Corman Classic and it really freaked me out as a little kid: From: WWW.AllMovie.Com Filmed under the working title X, this Roger Corman masterwork (Rated Four Stars) was released in most areas as X The Man with the X-Ray Eyes. Ray Milland plays Dr. Xavier, who experiments with a new, far-reaching form of vision. A compassionate doctor (Diane Van der Vlis) attempts to cure Milland, but his powers increase to the point that he can see into deep spacelosing his earthly eyesight as a result. The film ends at the revival meeting of preacher John Dierkes, who unknowingly provides Milland the only solution to his hellish dilemma: "If thine eye offends thee, pluck it out." Among the most stylistic of Corman's films with modern-day setting.

Koz- to hopefully help stir up some action on this, I have posted above a shot of the creature with a movie poster (stuff found via Yahoo). Maybe someone will "do him".

Yes Koz, you have to be old-timers like us to know that there were some really great movie and sci-fi movies made in the 1950's. Since TV had little impact then, these movies of scary characters became burned in your little kid brain and made it impossible for me to go down a dark hallway in our home without turning on all the lights first. I remember even having to reach in really quickly to turn on the bedroom light first- but of course, the movie character-creature could still be hiding UNDER THE BED!!!

Oh,...and after he took the glasses off, I think he had some kind of x-ray vision that burned your brains out.

Good Idea. When I was a kid the "Creature From The Black Lagoon" scared the hell out of me. Circa 1954 I think. The other scary 50's character we need is "The Man With The White Eyes". He looked like Indiana Jones but had no pupils or iris- a simple cinematic lab effect then, but also very scary for a small kid. The guy wore dark glasses, and when he took them "slowly" off, GASP! NO EYES!!! Just white eye-balls. We need him in the Poser Characters Community.

JeffH- thanks for your age. I am a Vietnam era guy, and the name has special meanings too for that era. I don't know what it became for the post-Nam generation. I remember as a kid when a girls name like "Heidi" or "Gretchen" always connotated a "bad girl", and I bet you this came from the WW-II generation who got to know a lot of "nice" German girls during the U.S. Occupation. I would bet there is a similiar girl's name for the Twenty-Somethings that immediately conjures up the "bad girl" image. So much for sociology- I will post her once I can find a good download home for her- any suggestions?

Oops, I meant "Pooooooooon Taaaaaaaang". And yes, I would be happy to contribute this cute Thai babe to the Poser Community. All I did was just tweak Vicky and added a Vicky gen-morph from Morph World (which you cannot see). Is it o.k. to do this as a Cr2 file so that it doesn't violate any Zygote copywrites?

You guys may be surprised to learn, despite all political correctness to the contrary, that Poon and Tang are common Thai names. I am not fluent in Thai, but many Thai words have ironically double-meanings for Westerners. Bang-Kok, Thai-Land (pronounced of course "Tai-Land" and which means "Free Land". "Porn" is another Thai name, and there are others. I of course intended a "double-meaning" and I think Thai's would find it humourous too, as they have a good sense of humor. Usually it is Americans in particular who seek ultimate political correctness in everything to the point that today's comic strips and "comedians" are totally un-funny. But showing my own age, yes, the most famous use of the word "Poon Tang" is from the Stanley Kubrik movie "Full Metal Jacket" in which the M-60 carrying soldier says it as "Poooooooong Taaaaaang!"

Hey, thanks for clueing me in here. I thought I was losing my mind. I kept seeing posts that I thought I had read days ago. This new system is really confusing and I think not helpful to logical ways of processing information. And like you guys said- this will become prime SPAM Meat. People will just keep posting to bring their own messages to the top. It could get really ugly fast.

I really think spinning these off into 9 different characters is a much better solution. People can pick the characters they like and at much reduced file sizes and problems for all. Plus on my system, a P-III with 385 MB of RAM it still badly crashes when I try to load it in Poser. Your Marilyn works great. So I think there is something not good about cramming so many characters into one huge file.

I tried both deleting the blmilwom.rsr and importing the file- but still a bad crash when I try to render. I guess I will have to wait until other people report similiar experiences or whatever... I have a lot of Poser DL stuff and have not seen anything go this bonkers before...
