I'd like to make a suggestion Earl, whether you go with 2.7 or 2.79 (my recommendation), download a "zip" file version of Blender.Thanks guys. That helps tons. Of course, I don't have any files anymore, so I'll be starting from scratch.
Blender isn't really "installed". You just set up a folder with everything that's contained in the "zip" file, and you're ready to go.
I don't know if this is true on a Linux or Mach computer.

Looking good Lobo. I, and a lot more folks doing modeling, started with Hard Surface projects.
Can you possibly post the link to the the tutorial you're following? A lot of folks have done these types of tutorials on YouTube, but they're not all the same, so the tutorial you're following might have just the thing I'd need to make my workflow that much easier.

There isn't a Poser 14. They are currently working on Poser 13, which they're expecting to be released some time during the first quarter of 2023.
Does the service releases you have happen to mention PoserPro 2014? That's an old version of Poser from a number of years ago, before Bondware became the owners of Poser. I believe, but could be wrong, that would be the equivalent to Poser 10. They named the versions differently back then, because there were two versions, the PP 2014 being the Pro version, and Poser 10, the non-Pro version of Poser.
