**Thanks oldschoolpunk ,
So if a script was made useing an older version of Python would you have to have that older version installed? or does the present Python open older scripts ok ?
Have attached console error message that if you have a moment perhaps you would be able to give me a few clues .
I thought the sun script would be handy to have it did involve two scripts.
It seems some scripts just dont even get into the scripts menu after clicking the "update"
button ?

Thread: hiden Blender file??? | Forum: Blender
Thanks Haloedrain & Warlock 279,
I did manage to remove the file by doing a search for B.blend file .
it returned a file that on other searches it did'nt locate so after moving this to a zip file(so it could not be read) I opened Blender and everything was fine and back to normal.
But this file was not displayed in the home directory.?
When looking for files where does blender store them.
Blender itself is in C:programs.
along with temp files.
prefetch in windows system 32.
Documents.
Those are the only four spots I could find.
But no matter all is well....so onwards and upwards
Thanks for your valued help.
Regards
Blueblott

Thread: car tyre texture | Forum: DAZ|Studio
***Thankyou so very much for all the Blender info. I honestly did not know how to go about this in Blender but with your help feel confident enough to have a go.
It is without a doubt a very good 3d graphics program/software,still learning slowly a little at a time.
Thanks again Lisarrichie

Thread: car tyre texture | Forum: DAZ|Studio
HI and thanks lisarichie,
Was thinking of maybe ungrouping the tyre and then use Blender to cut a tread to the original then re-group back in Daz!
How do you turn a jpg or png into a texture for Daz, or can it be done that way?
Oh well will have to keep trying suppose.
Many thanks for your help

Thread: BRYCE 6 Importing and setup of BVH files | Forum: Bryce
****I have only used VideoStudio for editing my video that I have captured and it does a good job once you get past the stage of putting in too many transitional effects as I did. But you do, well I do like to add some extra bits into a clip that can be funny or depending on what you want to achieve and thats where chroma keying comes in very handy. Using the overlay in VS you can import the BVH that you gave a blue background colour to(blue is a good keying colour) when you render in daz to an avi file you can then import into VS direct.
Once in the timeline you can chop up the BVH into segments to get the desired effects.
If you are a dab hand at annimation in Daz then you may not be too interested in BVH, but I have not reached that point yet myself.lol!!
I like making videos adding the sound effects and background music, have found Uleads VideoStudio 9and 10+ do this very well indeed. If you need help head for the VS forumns as support dont seem very helpful.
After render in VS I burn to a DVD that works in the UK and here in OZ, PAL as I send some to my army pal in Bristol.
Many thanks.
Thread: BRYCE 6 Importing and setup of BVH files | Forum: Bryce
Thanks Fran,
yes import the BVH file into DazStudio after having selected your Daz model apply a background colour say blue if you wish to chroma key the model into a video editing program (i use Ulead Video Studio 10+) this seems to work well.
Carrara will import BVH and FBX have since found out but Bryce will not.
Some BVH files when imported into Daz get distorted, and finish up like matchstick men oops persons. have yet to find out if i can fix this or not, however i downloaded BV Hacker from Dave dub which allows you to adjust settings within a BVH but havent got that far just yet. There dose'nt seem a lot of interest out there in this type of file. but have learnt a lot through asking on Google.
Thanks for your interest Fran.

*****Thanks Bikermouse and sorry to build your hopes up!
It seems you have to import your annimations into Bryce scenes from DazStudio so perhaps thats where I should ask the question or Carrara as that is the "bees knees " I am told.
Thankyou for your interest.*****

*****Ah.. thought that would grab the Brysters
attention!!!
You know its that thingy er script of annimation that makes models move in a scene, dance, walk, fight, etc sort of thingy.
Its all ready for lazy havent got a clue how to annimate people like myself.
So long as your boned up , rigged add this file to it and away you go. Oh come on this is like trying to ask where the toilet is at a party in a polite way and finishing up by asking," wheres the bog"?
But I will hang in there!!
Or.......is annimation not possible in Bryce? Hmm*****
