Thanks, Ravyns, and what skiwillgee said.
This Forum has always been the most helpful I've ever participated in.
So, any questions you have, shout 'em out, and post images like you've been doing of any problems you're having. No need to bang your head against the screen trying to get Bryce to do what you want.
Although that's what I usually do, lol. (Maybe that explains my headaches) I'm a bit stubborn as well.
Now if only Daz would just fix the bridge between Bryce and D/S. I love how Bryce handles lighting.

Not sure what you mean but I've made single-sided poly objects in Wings3D and brought them into Bryce without problems. Maybe you need to use the same textures you're using in the diffuse channel in the ambient channel and play with the sliders a bit? The diffuse at about 70 and ambient at about 30 works for me for most objects. Otherwise you just get black shadows. The effect is lighting-dependent though, so you may need to experiment a bit. I'll give you links to a couple of renders I've done of a rose bloom I made in Wings.This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

@orbital:You said it! Anyone with the time to spend should check out pidjy's gallery (only 50 pics and all of them worth a look) for Bryce inspiration. Pidjy could make Bryce jump through hoops and sit up and beg for more, LOL. He had a mastery of creating height maps in 2d for use in Bryce that can make your eyes bug out.
I recommend that any Brycer do what orbital did and check out pidjy's posts in the Forum, too. You won't be sorry. Be sure your search goes back to 2002 or so.
And he did it all with nothing more advanced than Bryce 5.5.

BTW, since I'm fairly new to the D/S Forum, I'd like to say that I'm having a ball with my free D/S 4 (and still free, when the Daz site is up) which includes Genesis for free including "auto-fit".
I like free. :)
And I'm usually on the Bryce Forum, but this one seems nice, too. Looking forward to getting helpful hints here. Hope you don't hate D/S noobs.

@ Chohole and D/S Mods and anyone else who knows:
I am not complaining about the Daz site, only wondering if I'm doing something wrong. All day today I have been attempting to shop a bit at Daz, but now none of my Plat. Club discounts are showing on any of my items. Only yesterday they were working fine. Am I doing something wrong or is this happening to anyone else? I don't expect Daz to have everything fixed quickly, only ASAP. I know that these things take time, I remember the last big changes here at Rendo. I just don't want to buy w/o my discounts, and wondering if it's my fault.
Please don't lock or delete this thread until I get an answer please, but I'll understand. You do what you think is best.
