Bear with them and give them a chance. Service Release 1 is a big improvement performance-wise, just stay away from the Firefly Renderer (improved, but still slow). Performance with dynamic hair has improved, so maybe I can start learning... Dynamic Cloth is another thing I want to get into. They could really improve things performance-wise by implementing OpenGL Hardware-based Rendering. We could get a few frames per second instead of a frame every few minutes. Their Tech Support has indicated to me that they will consider it. They really need a better looking P5 woman, better female textures, and a set of Female Faces for the face room. Until then, I will stick with Victoria.

I have the same "poke through" problem when I use collisions. You would think that they could implement some sort of "covers" function and eliminate morphing and conforming entirely. The only morph would be how tight or loose. For example, point at a bra and indicate that it covers the chest and collars "tightly," or point at a skirt and say that it covers the hips and buttocks "loosely". Oh well, maybe in Poser 6!!!

I mentioned Hardware Rendering to Curious Labs. They agree that it would be a good feature to add. If the rest of you ask them for hardware rendering, perhaps they will actually do something about it.

My system is a Thunderbird 1.2 with 512MB Ram and GeForce2 Video. Rendering is slow. I wrote to Curious Labs and suggested that they modify their rendering engine to use Hardware OpenGL Rendering. I suggest that you guys do the same. I must point out that a GeForce 4200 Card ($150) can render 1600x1200 3D Game scenes at well over 30 fps. 3D Scenes in most of todays games are easily as complex as a Poser Scene.
