Thread: Can Someone convert BR5 to BR4 for me | Forum: Bryce

Thread: rework of the obligatory sci-thingy, now with more chocolate! | Forum: Bryce
The "robot head" looks like a Lego Bionicle... www.bionicle.com. Both of those models would be fun to play around with...the choco-space-thing-a-ma-jiggy AND the bionicle head

Excellent! And while I do morn the loss of the computer operators hand I do marvel at his now highly advanced powers of telekenesis and telepathy. The background space scene is much crisper too...excellent work!!

While I can completely agree with both of you that an image of an object could be construed as using the object itself...AND while I really don't feel militantly strong about it either way... I also think that the challenge is about highlighting the strengths of the program...one of which is the ability to use 2D images. Perhaps the compromise would be that you could use 2D images...but NOT 2D images of models created in other programs!! LOL

I think you need something to help give the picture scale. For example: a small drow figure or two standing at the entryway to the large structure would suddenly enhance the feeling of immense size that I think you're after. A couple more structures on the edges of the shadow would help the feeling of depth too. The picture would take on an entirely different feel if you had, for example, a large foot crushing one of the mushrooms...that would create the feeling that this was a miniature of some sort. The mushrooms in and of themsleves create a feeling that this IS miniature since we have experience of mushrooms being small. ( It works that way for me anyway.)

Seems to me that 2d picture planes would fall under the "it's alright to import textures" category...and thus perfectly legal. ;) But that is just one man's opinion.

Thread: Magazine Cover contest - Did ya enter? Did ya lose? Post in here... | Forum: Bryce
I think it would be fun if we had to choose from say, five, wildly divergent models...all different genre's...and incorporate at least two into a scene. That could be really cool. Heck that way everyone who enters at least gets a couple free models out of it...everybody wins.

Thread: Skateboard Model | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I got the one I use from www.baument.com. It works fine in Poser. I also have a "medieval" skateboard in one of the images in my gallery :) -Claymor
