Love it...and the airplane is a great touch. I'd never buy the place though, I prefer a bigger back yard.
Thread: Apparently... | Forum: Bryce
I'm just sorry I missed seeing the image. I would have loved to verbally disembowel a few potty-mouthed lack-wits on behalf of the seemingly much maligned lady in question. The works in your current gallery are excellent. (I find a quick rapier thrust typically turns the trick without any overt "stirring of the pot") ;)
Thread: My fist attempt at woodlands - WIP | Forum: Bryce
Awesome folks, thanks for the comments. I too felt like the plumes were too transparent but was lazy to go after them after all the work it took to get the lighting "right" on my girly. (One of my daughters nick names) I agree with the low foliage idea too. As to the ambiance on the cattails...good call, but I was trying to find a compromise that brought out a little of their detailing without going too light...I'll try darkening them down a bit.
Thread: " Bad Doctor " | Forum: Bryce
Ok pidjy, I am not insinuating ANYTHING here but.... You don't happen to play Madden 2003 on X-Box by any chance do you? There is a secret team called the Sugar Buzz that you can unlock whose face look almost EXACTLY like this, If I could do a screen capture off my TV I would post it. My son just unlocked the team today and I cracked up having seen your doctor just a few days ago....
Thread: My shadow is scaring me. | Forum: Bryce
I believe the options you turned off all have to do with turning off the interactive shadows between one object and another...also the pieces of an object casting shadows on the object itself...like a model's arm casting a shadow on it's chest etc. etc.
But if you want this as pure 2d...without shadows...why not just go into a graphics program, select everything blue, and do a fill?
Or do the render as an object mask and colorize in another program.
Thread: SAM'S 3D contest starting now ...... want everyone to be able to join in.... | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
OK, I think I out-thought myself on this one...since I have already entered and someone else has already said it I think the answer is Twelve Oaks. I forgot the house was Twelve Oaks and the plantation was Tara...grrrrrr... LOL. Great Contest

Atlanta Georgia Gone with the Wind 1939 Tara Mint Julip If it is Tara then that is amazing so I'll go with A serving set including drinking glasses and a pitcher
Thread: an OT Woohooo!! | Forum: Bryce
Whoa,
I think I remember seeing you post a couple WIP's on this. I can only imagine what you've been holding out on if this is the FIRST thing you have posted as a freebie. This is an EXCELLENT piece of work. We all love a free one now and again but you really could make at least a little money off stuff of this caliber.

p.s. on the wife thing...
Mine used to get miffed at me with the amount of time I spent "dinking around" doing stuff on my computer that didn't make money...until I managed to land a job as a programmer...which turned into a job as a CTO three years later. Now she really enjoys the stuff I put out, money making or no.
Thread: January challenge entry - A New Beginning | Forum: Bryce
DOH!!! Hence the disclaimer early on. I prefer to think of it as one of those "great minds think alike" moments.
Thread: January challenge entry - A New Beginning | Forum: Bryce
LOL!! It is actually the button and logo configuration on my monitor. I did, however, consider adding the disclaimer: "No product placement fees have been paid nor have any monies exchanged hands in consideration of the obvious job of catering to Gateway and the fiscal and marketing interests of Gateway Computers Inc." ....probably left it out since I recently applied for a job at their corporate headquarters. :)
Thread: does this look like somthing? | Forum: Bryce
I think it looks like a gateway to multiple parallel dimensions. And no, I do not live in my mom's basement and watch Star Trek re-runs. On the left side it almost looks like a climber on top of a mountain...on the right someone standing on the edge of a river or sea. I can easily imagine those images flickering through endless scenes. The doorway to choice perhaps? Destinies Nexus? Decision Point? Any way you slice it...cool pic. -Claymor
Thread: ocean WIP need to add something | Forum: Bryce
The rough surface of the water is awesome...it doesn't need something stuck in it...it needs a story. Come up with a short bit of story in this setting and I think that will tell you what to put in the pic. -Claymor

Thread: Feedback request for WIP (?) | Forum: Bryce
I think I might try putting a few random critters in a couple of the spheres...fish in one, maybe seahorses in another, coral, etc. It might change your original artistic intent too much ...but why not replenish EVERYTHING in ocean and not just the water? :) -Claymor
Thread: HELP poser and bryce | Forum: Bryce
Jake, There is one hugely time consuming way I can think of to manage what you are after...although I hope there is a simpler way. Poser allows you to export an .OBJ as a single frame out of a animation. You COULD animate your guy in poser, then export each frame as an individual .OBJ file. Import each file into Bryce and place appropriately. At the end I am sure you would know exaclty how claymation animators feel. -Claymor
