Thanks guys. I'm really busy at the moment. Will post an example ASAP. Lighting my scenes to my satisfaction is my biggest headache. Will try your suggestions.

Holy pythons destro75. I can't believe you went to this trouble. Thank you so much. Hope it works in P5.

I now remember this too. However, if I move my character within the scene this will not cause the lights to follow. Unless I parent the invisible prop to the figure. What will happen with the prop when the figure is replaced? I'll play around a bit and see what happens. Thanks guys.

Just thought I'd add my 2c worth. JPEG's are fine. Some people however my want to modify the texture and re-save to the same file and again and again. This is where things get really lossy. If a JPEG is modified, a new file needs to be made. I use BMP's myself until I'm happy, then save to high quality JPEG. Yummy pizza by the way, nice work.

"Infinite light is not stopped by solid objects" This could very well be my problem, and thanks for the other suggestions adp001 & rest.

To clarify. The figure above has good shodows (lighted above and shadow below). Where the two figures meet, on the lower figure the shadows do not meet together and gradient away as would be natural. The lower figure it lit as if there is nothing shading it. I'll post an image when I get a chance. I think that adp001 hit the point. I may have too many lighting sources, but I feel I need this to get an even ambience in the scene. Thanks again.

This type of post only lets me know fow much further I need to go with poser and how little I know. I'm still using 2D texture maps, and playing around with transparency and specular settings, and the use of nodes and all their intracicies astounds me. Just how do you people learn so much about 3D programing? Do you do this for a living? I'm a teacher in Australia working from 6:30 to 3:30 and use Poser as a hobby for maybe 2-3 hours a day. Do I have any hope of mastering the techniques you are talking about? I've been using Poser 4&5 for the past 2 years but, reading this, now I'm feeling I don't really know much at all. I think I need some quick, clear Node work. Any tutorials?

You could select the whole figure, go to properties and de-select cast shadow. If there are multiple figures (clothes etc.) you will need to do this for each item.

Please, please, please no more single women portraits with sultry looks in seductive poses. I think we have several million of these already. (No offense meant to any artists). How about multi-figure scenes in life-like environments that reflect an aspect of everyday life? Humourous or poiniant. Only an idea.
