Jungian archetypes aside, I see it as an extension of the pop culture imagery of artists like Frazetta and Vallejo. A few years back, some modelers here who like Frazetta-style fantasy work started creating swords and helmets and temples and gave them away for free. Then other fans of the sword/sorcery/fantasy genre of art/literature downloaded these freebies and started using them. This inevitably led to the modelers selling this popular stuff once the sites started up their stores, and by then the genre was so well entrenched here that the stores became inundated with the accoutrements needed to create even more naked Vickies in Temples. As for your image, Ron, when you decide to redo it, don't forget to make the breasts bigger, and give her a sword and magic helmet. Am I bashing the genre? No, not really. I think what many people are sick of is the preponderance of this genre in the gallery. Boris Vallejo, Frank Frazetta, these are masters of the genre...and there are very few fine artists who are successful at the sword & Sorcery genre. But Poser has made it possible for HUNDREDS of people all in the same place to be able to create images of this type. If we were all oil painters here, Boris and Frazetta would get lost in the crowd...and many people would never want to wade through thousands of oil paintings of naked women with helmets on the chance of finding that impressive Frazetta painting. Imagine if images of windmills in pastures was popular...wouldn't you get bored after the 5000th one?

Nice...BUT...I personally think it'd be better if you applied a bump map to that suit.

Why is it bad to show the nipples of underage girls, but not underage BOYS? Who is to say there isn't someone here who might be excited by the idea of young shirtless boys? What if some pervo sees a shirtless boy here and goes mad with boy-lust, snatches some young boy from a bus stop and sexually tortures and mutilates him? DO YOU WANT THAT ON YOUR CONSCIENCE? You should ban ALL images of children from this site, just to be safe. Further, I believe that animals should wear pants, and Renderosity should institute a rule banning the depiction of nude animals. Also, something should be done about the rampant ADULT nudity here. This place is RIFE with bare weenuses, and heinies, cooters, and honkers. It's DISGUSTING. This place needs to be SCOURED CLEAN with the RIGHTEOUS BRILLO OF CENSORSHIP so that DECENT artists can feel safe and comfortable, knowing that their sensitive credit card information is safe in the hands of CLEAN, UPSTANDING PEOPLE.

"Propaganda" is the expression of other guy's patriotism. There are some people who consider crashing planes into the World Trade Center as patriotism. As my old pal Philo says, the difference between Heaven and Hell is which end of the pitchfork you're on. If the Nazis had won WW2, Hitler would be remembered as a conquering hero who defeated the evil puppets of democracy. History is written by the winners. Sure, I'll agree with the above post which states, "the Nazis have harmed alot more people than any pedophile stuff ever did", but then so has America, with its' genocidal policies regarding the Indians who were there before them, and for that matter the Catholic Church, with it's own genocidal policies regarding Jews, pagans, and other assorted "sinners". I'm not defending Liftan here...in fact, if I told you what I really think of him, I'd probably be banned for personal attacks...HEINOUS personal attacks. Given the opportunity, I'd laugh as he boiled in his own diarrhea. But to suggest banning ANY political expression in art, however unpopular, is an affront to the creative process itself. There is a tendency among many members here who see one thing censored, and then, instead of saying, "That shouldn't be censored", say instead, "Well, if you censor THAT, you should censor THIS to be fair". The answer to censorship isn't MORE censorship. This is supposed to be a community for artists. And any artist who demands more stringent restrictions on what can be posted here is doing more ill to this community that a hundred pictures of "propaganda".

Well, then let's be REALLY fair and ban AMERICAN propaganda, too. Let's chuck all those patriotic images from the memorial gallery.
