Thanks everyone. I'm just glad that there are some people out there that enjoy seeing my photos as much as I enjoy taking them.Â
Thread: Last Week in the Gallery #52 | Forum: Photography
I was away last week so I didn't see this until now. Thanks for the selection I never really expected to be recogized for any of the shots I took that week. I was just messing around with a new toy. Unfortunity I'm not able to see the images for this week (not sure if it's my system or something else) so I'll assume they were all wonderfull.

Ahh Peelo, I've seen your gallery and calling your self 'not an artist' isn't exactly correct. I think a lot of the problem here is the snobbery of the 'Art World' technically anything borne out of creativity regardless of quality is art and anyone who creates from creativity an artist. It doesn't matter if they work in oils and canvas or mashed potatoes thrown against a wall (would adding gravy after the fact be concidered postwork?). Â

Thanks Acadia...
Ok I'll admit it, this is really a bump, but hay it's a worth while one.
Thread: shaders and nodes overkill? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The simple answer is if it takes you 100 nodes to achive the look that you want then 99 nodes are not enough and 101 nodes are too many.

it depends are you looking for a tutorial on how to get the finished results using an existing texture or how to create the texture from scratch?

Hey I got a neat idea for Tiari or someone who would like to tackle this. Take Tiari's list of imperfections above and create a tutorial out of them.
I see this working as a before and after type of thing show the image before the post with the flaw and then what it looks like after. I'm thinking that a certain amount of the population just doesn't realise what they can do to improve their images.Â
But yeah to another point that was brought up earlier. It really drives me nuts to see an image that I can best described as amateurish from many different points on the most commented/rated lists and see absolutely amazing pictures barely looked at just because the artist is an unknown. urggh drives me up the wall. The latter are usually the only ones I comment on.

Of course you can just keep pounding on that 'make art' button until something comes out
come on you knew someone had to say it Â

I usually only do post work on projects that I consider truly serious endeavors or for added effects that you can't get from Poser. Most of the images that I've posted on this site the by line is the only post. This is because I use this site as a way to work out my skills and to get knowledgeable opinions on how to improve them. If I masked the image with too much post members who critic my work wouldn't be able to give me honest opinions on what I need to work on. But this is just my preference, if you're goal to comming here is something different then you're workflow can be what ever makes you happy.Â
On the other hand I've seen several images on here that are in the Poser galleries that probably should be in the photoshop galleries. The work that they've done in Poser was beginner at best, but their post was outstanding elevating the work to a new level, but it would be like me working out a texture for Viki in Photoshop, rendering it in Poser and then posting in a photoshop gallery for opinions. Â
Ultimately I'd say post for the sake of post is just as bad as no post for the sake of purity IMHO.
Thread: Hair Conversion System for Miki 2.0 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ok well because you all spoke so highly of it, I took the plunge and bought it. As first glance it's great. After using it to convert 3 figure hairs, and almost a dozen prop hair...
It's still great. I don't mind the little bit of editing and magnet work to get things 'just right' it's a lot easier then using the scaling dials and creating your own magnets to get them to fit. (which was the method I was using before.)
So thanks, nice recommend.Â

I call her Larry, but then I was dropped alot as a child. :)
In all seriousness though V# is probably the best, other then that it's just a race to what key I hit first i or y. I wouldn't sweat it though if it's poser and starts with a V people here will know what you're talking about.

no this make sense, I guess any custom poses I'll need to save to the pose directory first.Â

Thanks Apollo will probably work, does anyone have any tips on how to get the clothing to conform correctly after applying the ADS to the figure?
Thanks,

Slinger, There are alot of people that feel the same way as you do, so many at one time there was a rumor of a sort of a Bab. 5: TNG style show, but I think it never got off the ground.
