I've been using Poser 6 on winXP64 for some time now, and I've not had any problems. As far as memory issues, as long as Poser 6 is up to date you shouldn't have any. When switching to WinXP64, the most important part (besides processor) is making sure you have drivers for your hardware. I suggest you stop over at www.planetamd64.com to give yourself an idea of what issues you're bound to run into if you make the switch. AMD 3700+ MSI K8Neo2 Platinum NVidia GForce 6800GT 2GB Ram

Weapons of any kind are a boon (especially if they are not sticking out of you). I'll second the DVDs. Software is also worth quite a bit these days (see adobe products). But my personal favorite these days are video cards. I have quite a collection of ATI X850XTs as well as NVIDIA 6800 Ultras. Not quite as soft as a pile of gold coins, mind you, but the overall effect is much more interesting...

Yeah, this discussion seems to come up every other month or so. Peng has had it running in Linux, but he used a special program (not WINE) to do it. As I recall, he could only use 128mb of ram, and it didn't run very well. The furthest I've ever gotten it in WINE was to the workspace, and it crashed as soon as I tried to do anything. Best bet is with D|S. ~DM

Nice example, but a print screen makes all that security worthless. The only way to secure your artwork is to never let anyone else see it. ~DM

WOW! That makes a huge difference! One of my biggest complaints has always been the loading time, and this fixes it. From five min, to 3 sec, I love it!

I'll second you on that nerd. It was much improved in SR3, but it's still not working as advertised.

Been there, done that. PITA! Penguinisto had poser running for a while in linux, you might want to talk with him. As I recall, it was a pain to set up, and a bigger pain to run. You might want to wait for a port of D|S instead... ~DM

do-able, but not likely. The figure was probubly rendered in the program the figure was created in, like 3ds max or lightwave. I won't give any ideas, but you wouldn't be the first on to take a game figure object, and turn it into a poser figure. Just be sure not to mention it here if you do, though. The last one ended up on the wrong end of a witch burning... ~DM Begin the obligatory Holy Grail quotes! ^__^
