Even though it is only for the PC Rhino is a great and powerful program. I have to emphasize the word powerful because it has soooooooo many options to work with. Like you I'm working on a dress and while I have the general form of the dress, I'm still working on tweaking it the way that I want it to look - and I'm using Rhino for this.Thread: Transmap for Sergemarck's Spring dress | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

I would definitely have to agree with the advice. I'm trying my hand at creating clothing for Poser models and it's just driving me crazy! I find that I make the most progress when I take "little" steps and write them down so that I don't forget them and then advance from there. I have just gotten the hang of the "headless" body concept so now I'm working on tweaking the body/clothing here and there. My next attemption? HAIR!Thread: Any suggestions | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

You know I didn't even notice the wheelchair until someone mentioned it. I was going to suggest some kind of "gypsy" stuff/clothes as well. MartyThread: Curly Hair (female) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

I always wondered about this. Can you take a "cutout" of hair and apply it to a poser model? I do have UV Mapper but was also thinking of applying it as a texture.Thread: Need suggestions on hair making | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Since you are here on Renderosity why not do a search for hair tutorials. Since I have done this myself, I know that there are a few there.Thread: Critique my first Bryce post/render, please. | Forum: Bryce

I'm always amazed when someone posts their "first" renderings and think that they aren't that good. Some of us (or maybe its just me) wouldn't even think of posting our "first" picture we made in Bryce. In fact I think I deleted mine a loooooooong time ago! PS - By the way I think its a great "first" picture! MartyThread: Storm | Forum: Bryce
It's a good picture. I've been trying to do a picture with rain for awhile now. Haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet! Marty http://members.xoom.com/marty188/index.htm

I also get this error message as well. I did solve it (or at least I thought I did) a while back but its been happening again lately. I haven't figured it out yet though.Thread: Need help with bump maps | Forum: Bryce

Although there are some good tutorials around (that you probably should do a search for)I'll give you my experience with placing bump maps. I made a "brick" texture in PSP and of course saved it as a bmp. Next, opened bryce - chose a shape, went into the material editor and clicked to add a 2D texture. Load your texture into the 1st of the 3 boxes, click "copy" and then "paste" it into 2nd box and the 3rd box should show what the texture will look like. Press the "checkmark" and your shape should have your texture added. I hope this helps. I know that there is an upgrade to a 4.01 version. You may be able to find it by going to Corel's site. If I do find out more I will post it here. Another suggestion would be for you to try using a search engine to find the upgrade. Another site to try is help.com and type in the words "bryce crash" or something similar and it may bring some links to others that are having the same problem as you and hopefully someone has posted an answer or at least a link to where the upgrade can be downloaded. Another thought that came to mind would be to ask your same question in one of the Bryce related Usenet newsgroups. They are always busy. And last but not least the people here are VERY knowledgable about such things. I'm sure it won't be long before someone answers your post. It was on the graphics board. While in AOL, type in the keyword "Graphics" or better yet "Bryce". It may not be there now because the message board posts only last for a few days. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Our own cookies make user accounts and other features possible.
