Dan, you're right he is a too human. I'm trying to make him more muscular and powerful looking than the game version and yet still look alien enough. After i finish retopologising it, I'll sculpt some variation of the torso.
Xen, I'm goin for the concept art look rather than the game version, I don't know, I found it to look more noble than the game. Plus it'll look slightly different after i sculpt in the scales, but u're right about the nose, it's slightly too lumpy, i'll push it in later.
Here's the concept art example.

Thanks for the image jocko.
How about a photo of different types of smokes, from huge billowing smoke like in your photo to wispy smoke from a lit cigarette or incense?

I find those additional tools are only necessary for hard surface modelling. For organic, you only need the Soft selection, split poly, add edge loop most of the time and all those tools are available in Wings3D.
I wish Teyon would check this thread and answer my question since he has Silo.

What sort of mirror function are we talking about here?
I also have another Silo question. How do you deal with Silo's SubD mesh when you want to export it to other apps? Specially when you have creased edges to lower the polycount on the poly cage mesh. I think this is more applicable on hard surface or mechanical model than on characters.

What's an example of a program that use this doo-sabin algorithm? I know Maya use hierarchical Catmull-Clark which is pretty good since you can switch back and forth between the lowest cage to the highest..

LOL it's ok, I actually read your post several times to make sure what you're asking and I only found Poser references so I directed you to Poser forum.
Blonde, Brunette, redhead etc all good as long as you're a lady not a dude. :P

Mate, you're in the wrong forum. For Poser related questions, you better go to this link -> Poser Forum.

The only thing I can think of is that some of the vertices aren't welded/attached. That's the impression I got from the picture since the tip of the thumb seem to be in correct position.

Oh I didn't see another Maya user entering this. Where're the updates dude? It's almost time.

Here's another small update, mainly just finishing the antler and the "connector" on the left antler. In the cartoon, he broke his antler fighting a bigger reindeer to get a medicine for a dying man who saved and treated him like a son.
Anyway, it was surprisingly hard to get the shape of the antler to look good in several angles. I'm still not totally happy with it but it's passable unless you guys got any suggestions.
Other than the antler, it's mostly just various tweaks on the shape to get the silhouette that I like. Maya crashed on me once and I lost quite a lot of the tweaks and the antler so I had to redo them and didn't get much done on the body except for a really minor arm extrusion. Still gotta work out the edgeloop, it's too messy at the moment.
Teyon, I need another suggestion. Looking at the very first image I posted, you think it's better to combine the short with the body and model the leg separately or model the body and leg as a single mesh and the short separately?

Just a small update tonite. Done the hat, antler not finished, still not happy with the ears and still no eyes yet. I think I got the colours right though, hope I can get a bit more done tomorrow night.
Some discrepancies with the model sheet but I'm not worried as long as I get the general shape right since it's more of a reference than blueprint anyway.
As usual, comments and suggestions are welcome.
