Thanks Phil...but wouldn't that give trouble to keep the chain attached to the elbow pad as well? It's like the chain has two parents :) I must admit I haven't tried it yet though...

Yeah Japan is one of my favorite places too. As a European speaking Japanese you are treated very nice :) All the way very nice! But she looks pretty good Ryo! Kawai desu ne? What are you going to add/change next? Sayonara, The Engineer.

Well if you add some more of those rings like you said, and give him some cool clothing, or textures Solemn would be really cool :) And both the X-Box as the PS2 and probably the Dreamcast too could handle a polygon version of Solemn pretty nicely. The Engineer.

Thread: Visionaries are usually misunderstood by the masses...(aren't we all?) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I forgot the conclusion! So Zalmegra, I don't think you are "pompous, sarcastic, hypocritical, boorish, self-important, lamer"...I do think you have a bit unrealistic view on how things work in software development. And uhmm..well, a few lessons in tact and writing style couldn't hurt :) The Engineer. "The best way to communicate with the black boxes called software developers is understanding their problems and trying to help, not to nag."

I have no reason not to read this, I am just sorry I missed the whole discussion. Although I would always object to be called one of the masses, since I am not (I am way more common and boring than the average man), I do agree with the majority that some things in Zalmegra's letter are way out of line. But I have seen it before. People that write to software companies in many cases forget that you are talking to companies here. Companies have one goal: make profit. That's reality, and if that means they will not incorporate every suggestion that is handed to them (and in most cases that is exactly what it means) tough luck. Then don't buy the product. In 99% of the cases the developer WILL make the product as THEY see it. Feedback from users is very helpful to create ideas for upgrades, or simply to know what things a user would like to see. Some things they will adopt, most things they won't. Like upgrading/enhancing the elbows and knees on a basic Poser/Posette figure might seem a small change for the users, but it's a hell of a job for the team. And since the Poser Policy probably is to stick with the cost - retailprice relation, things that will make that retailprice go up will not be made. Soooo...either make the changes you want yourself, or use another piece of software. As I said, suggestions are always welcome with any softwaredeveloper, but don't expect it will actually be used. Most people have no idea what it costs to develop an extra feature and I bet the people that run Curious Labs do.... The Engineer.

And Eidos upcoming blockbuster "Hitman" uses Poser characters too. I think that Poser is used more in the gaming industry to create the general idea and test animations. Not for the actual thing. Most gaming companies I have been to use either 3D Studio Max, Maya or Lightwave to make the actual movies or characters. Nevertheless I'd love to see some of those designs you mentioned :) The Engineer.

Thread: Looking For Simple Color Change Solution | Forum: Photoshop
Yes Ianbush there is...but using the method I described works 10 times faster when you get the hang of it. I used to use the Select Color Range option too, while working on some Gameboy Color Graphics (where you have to be very careful with colors)...till I found out what the "Contiguous" option of the Magic Wand did...works way, way, way, WAY faster...believe me :) The Engineer.
Thread: Looking For Simple Color Change Solution | Forum: Photoshop
Hello Ken, The easiest way to do this is as follows: Select the Magic Wand tool (shortkey=W), now before you use it go to the Magic Wand Options screen and change the settings: - Uncheck "Contiguous" - Set Tolerance to 0 Now, when you use the Magic Wand on the pixel that has the RGB code you want to replace, it will also select all pixels in the picture that have that specific RGB code. Replacing the color with a different color is even easier now: simply make sure the NEW color is selected as background color, and press CTRL+DELETE...presto! That's it! Happy now? :) Any questions, let me know... The Engineer.
Thread: Uneasy stillness creeps across the community? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I am new, so I know nothing about the fiasco and stuff. I am just happy there's a place where I can find stuff, aks for help with problems and show my work. There's still a lot to learn and joining up with renderosity has helped me already after a few days. And oh well, when I get some decent stuff done, like my poseable body armor I will share it so you have some new stuff Ookami ;) grin The Engineer.

Thread: The loss of Dendras | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've read it, pretty sad. I have only be coming here for a few days, prior to that I didn't do too much with Poser and/or other 3D programs. So I am not sure what the ins and outs of a community like this one is. I'll probably find out sooner or later although I have always been able to walk aside the flames (even on mp3.com go figure). So since I don't know Dendras work I can't say if I miss him but I do feel sorry he got screwed by a user that used his stuff in a commercial project. I work with commercial projects everyday and I wouldn't even consider using anything I found here in a commercial project without asking permission. (In most cases I would probably recreate a similar item myself though). People that don't are lowlife lamers...and people that defend their point of view simply don't get it. There...I think I said enough about something I don't know anything about. :) The Engineer.

Hmmm the transparency trick might just do the job...I didn't think of that :) Gonna try it! Thanks! The Engineer.
