Thread: Abstract images in Bryce - Tutorials?? | Forum: Bryce
Thank you very much, your links are very helpful.
But i'm still looking for a tutorial of a little different type of Bryce abstract:
shiny looking shapes, distorted reflections - I've read this tutorial once and if I remember right the camera was inside the sphere, but I'm no sure. And now I can't find the link.
Waiting for your help and thanks again.

Thread: SEAMLESS procedural repeat tiling?? | Forum: Bryce
Quote - in a word;probably yes (hey! that's 2 words!..;) How to?- I'm not sure. Seamless, I thought, was the concept of not making it look like it's reapeating. Have I misunderstood? Stay tuned for more helpful answers below this one.
there's 2 kinds of textures; one is made using the DTE (Deeply Tangled Excersize) settings, the other is by using a texture from outside. Every DTE tutorial I've started has made my eyes glaze over in about 3 screens, but that's me.
Â
I know, my question wasn't very clear so may be this will help:
PROCEDURAL SEAMLESSÂ REPEAT TILING
REPEAT TILING: All tiles are identical.
SEAMLESS: No visible (color, structural, etc.) borders between neighboring tiles, natural organic transition from one tile to another.
PROCEDURAL: Tiles are DTE based, not pixel based images.
With Repeat Tiling option in different projection modes I got symmetric (mirror) tiling, repeat tiling with clear "seams" or no tiling at all.
And I need this procedural tiling to be "REPEAT" AND "SEAMLESS".
Any other ideas?
Thanks for your help!

Quote - I must be missing the point of the question.
AFAIK, all DTE procedurals are automatically seamlessly tiled.

Yes, all DTE procedurals are automatically seamlessly tiled, but it isn't seamless REPEAT tiling.
Thanks.

Thanks Rayraz and madmax br5 for your help. To madmax br5: My website is "under construction" now, it will take some time... So hosting a file or two for me will be great! Thank you! I'll email it to you (it's QTVR file named "Panoflower"), and please send me the link when you put it in your website. Thanks again. Uri.

The modeling and the background are great. But the red color of the vessel makes it a little bit toylike. My suggestion is to try something less colorful but more metallike, reflective, may be even with transparency and refraction to make it interact with the background... But this is only my opinion...

Thank you very very much for your comments. To airflamesred: Well it's mostly endless choreography of parameters of camera, lights, atmosphere, and reflective textures inside the multireplicated boolean combinations of toruses and cylinders.
