Most of Apollo's morphs purposely taper off at the foot so people don't have to do lots of morphs.
If you use my cr2's the scaling dials will work automatically. As far as Apollo's morphs, you should be fine with some simple tapering, widening morphs just on the shins of the boots, which you can make with magnets. Really you only need about six morphs.

Hi there,
Just seeing this now. I haven't read evenything here, but I wanted to try and give some useful info.
Apollo's foot wear musn't have all the toe information. FOr this reason, you are free to use any of my shoe cr2's for your shoes. In those the toe boones are removed but they will conform as you would expect. There is also some basic info on show conformers on Apollo's readme page as well as the included readme.
If using one of my cr2's(including the clothing seed in the resource folder), just edit the obj path to point to your OBJ.

In Apollo's parts list, you wil see the ADS_ScaleDials. There are dials to scale just about everything including the head to any size you wish. You can scale his hands, his feet, his head, his penis, his spine; there are dials to scale him to a giant, a dwarf, a child, a boy, etc. Ive said before, you get what you put into it.

Apollo has compression via his joint paremeters. And the foot has the foot arch for this purpose. The hand grasps very realistically without comression morphs, which lead back to JCM, and thus more bloat.
But thanks for the feedback. I'll look into adding some, where neccesary in the 2008 release.

If you prefer to put the hair on your maps, you might want to save out an additional alpha mask map of it (White Hair layer on Black). That map could be used to have it's own shader rules and could be used for displacement.
Same for eyebrows and facial hair so the brows don't end up shiny.

Not sure if it is related, but I have found that some node setups expose entirely transparent layers above them. I have seen this with scalp and brow planes, though I have never dug deep enough to look for the cause. Perhaps it is AO?

I think there was cleanup. Artists want their images to be the best. And there is nothing wrong with that. Even alot of Rendo and Daz promo images are retouched. I actually have some photoshop techniques I use that will reveal otherwise undetectable postwork.
I want to do a tutorial on detecting postwork, not so much to hunt for edited product renders, but rather as a way to improve artwork by finding hidden flaws, etc
I used to have a pretty good tutorial on photo/render compositing. Here is a before/after from it. This is an extreme example where entire sections of photos are graphed onto the render. I notice this alot in many images to some extent; mostly in small corners of the face.
I have no issues with postwork on artwork, but it can make it hard to know what you are really looking at.

I didn't say "only, just Poser4 style MATs. I was just curious if anyone felt there was any reason to continue making them aside from using P4 itself.
Awhile back that once the next version of Poser came out, I was not going to bother with them. At this point I prefer node based materials, both that use maps, and those that don't.

Cool. That face is postworked though. You can see the facial compositing/retouching especially around the mouth, nose, and eyes. Beautiful image regardless.

I am just watching the "alien" trilogy. I like cool tones too. But even in darker/cool enviornments and lighting, white people are still peach.
My experience is that outdoor lighting is cool in sahdow and warm in light. In this pic, the skin tones get warmer as they get more light; blue/cool as it get shadowed. I do find outdoor shadows are almost green. Green desaturates red.

The script does make the "Bodyhandle" material, that Apollo's Line of Sight tool uses, visible. Just save Apollo's Bodyhandle material, from a fresh Apollo, as a special collection of that one material and you can add it back into his materials once you run the script.
