Ok, am I to understand then that the generall idea of renderosityย comment functionย is not constructive critique/feedbackย but rather people just giving eachother a pat on the back with a smile and a comment like "Nice picture!" And that the only place people really give critique is in Critique Forum? It feels like such a shame as there obiously is so much activity here, Iย just think it is strange and a bit sad that people in generall are so "afraid" to give critisism when people post with the constructive critisism optioned. I would sayย 97% of all the comment I see is with style:ย I comment you and then you with a generall "Beutiful, nice!"
Sorry if I sound so negative, I just really like Renderosity and think it would be more interesting if people could actually analyze farther than a generall "nice picture" comment.
I will check out the Critique forum again and look around :D

Hehe yeah I do know how to import, but thanx.
The thing is that it works sometimes and sometimes not. But I messed around and I "seem" to get it more often with higher res pictures...somthing around 2000x2000 or higher.
I can open Bryce and as soon as I import the picture so I see it in picture lab everything seems ok, then when Iย go back to normal view it crashes. Then if I try the same thing again it crashes, then if I take another jpg in same series with same resolution it can work then I take the picture that was crashing and import it it works. It's more than a little random :)
I have tried this test on two other computers with similar results.
Strikes me as a bit weird too when it dosent crash but changes the texture on everything to the imported picture's texture.
I have triedย reinstalling Bryce6 (4 times). I tried to adress this issue and others at the Daz forum without any helpfull response. Is there any good way to get a hold of Daz, I dont want to run them up the wall I think it's great they are evolving Bryce into the future but they need to fix some bug before Bryce 7 hit's the fan :D

Well I have imported in all the ways possible...the error comes from within texture editor if I go that way to import image and if I imort image with the michelangelo figure for things like 2d objects. I'm not even using phototextures on lattices, I should be thou cause that rocks. Anyhow I tried changing priority of bryce to lower but still have random crashes. I guess I should stpo wining and go back to Bryce 5 wich was more stable :D

I'll try lower it's priority Agentsmith. I who always closed task manager after doing that to other apps, doh! Thanx for the tip!
dvlenk6 yeah I try, but it crashes when I save too :(
Yepp Dunedan, due to my real name being Aragorn ;)
I still find it crazy and sad that Bryce should be so unstable :(

I dont think it is possible to increase it's size. You can render selected parts of the picture your working on thou. Hit escape and then click with left mouse button and drag and it will render that selected section.
But I recomend Bryce as a beginner program ;)

Thread: The time it takes? | Forum: Bryce
About 1-3 days. I usually have a ton of almost finished pictures I got bored of :)
I also am a save freak, I usually have 10 saves on one pic thou I seldom ever use any other than the last save.
What really makes the difference of how long it takes to make a pic is how much interferance I get from my girlfriend. Cuz when you are inspired and are on a run things get done, but getting interrupted slows the process down big time. Making food and washing dishes apperently are good things to do if one dosent want to sleep on the couch, but it dosent help with the bryce creations hehe...makes me think, sleeping on the couch isent that bad cuz that's where my computer is lol
