Hi Keith, Carrara will not allow me to set anything but a whole number. 1 is as low as I can go.

Hi Clint, No luck. Still can only rotate it 180 degrees. I tried the spin modifier, but it spins too fast, I think the lowest setting you can use is 1 rotation/sec. Any other ideas?? I tried setting 2 key frames( 1 halfway (4 sec) and one at the end (8 sec) but it just reverses the rotation at the 4 sec mark. Keithw, is there a way to sec the spin/sec to .25 rotations/sec??

Thanks for the reply. It's starting to clear things up for me. Carrara will be an excellent foot in the door for 3d modelling and from there if you've got deep pockets and really enjoy this medium then it's into 3D STUDIO MAX or LIGHTWAVE ? (which hopefully can do all things well??)

Hey Good News !!! I tried setting the CPU back to 450mhz, but that didn't help at all. So, I was going to reformat as a last resort but then thought I'd try removing some programs to see if that would help. I removed my Wacom Tablet software and IRQ program and what do you know but I can now do more things in Carrara without it crashing...or at least it doesn't crash were it used to!! I keep experimenting with this for awhile and if it works great, otherwise I will reformat. Thanks again!

Unfortunately these crashes happen within the program itself. I sometimes cannot open Carrara files I have just created. The problems I stated above are independent of the CD. My video card is a Creative Labs Annihalator Pro DDR with 32 megs of RAM and my CPU is a PIII 450 O/Cl'ed to 558 Mhz with 128 megs of PC 133. This should be enough for Carrara???

Hi Clint, No I,m also on win98. Maybe it's an incompatability with my video card? I literally cannot import a file from the CD that came with the book without it crashing Carrara!!

Hi Again, My computer has the following: 128 Mgs PC133 PIII 450Mhz Annihalator Pro DDR 32 Meg Video Card SCSI Seagate Harddrive I think that should be enough power to run Carrara???
